Frustrating tournament and course for myself. Couldn't seem to get a break on many birdie and par putts. And just couldn't find any momentum or flow. I should of birdied 6 in a row in the fourth round but 2 of the 6 either stopped right on the cup or lipped out(and I mean like toilet ball lip outs). I had a ton a lip outs. The greens didn't feel true to me. A lot of beads lied about their break. Round 1 - 5-7mph wind - score 70 Round 2 - 3-6 mph wind - score 68 Round 3 - 21-22 mph wind - score 75 Round 4 - 11-12 mph wind - score 70 Total score +3 Round 3's wind was pretty stupid. Some holes I couldn't reach the green under regulation. It felt like I played against the wind on a lot of holes. Very few holes the wind was going with me. I'm not sure where my score will have me end up, but most likely not good. I just hope no demotion strike. I can only hope others struggled like I did ?.

Everyone played the same wind buddy. I agree 21mph sucks. I thought the greens were fantastic. Subtle breaks to make the course difficult. Look at the green and stop just reading the beads. There is rarely a straight putt. No beads rolling usually still means some sort of break. Great tournament course.

In fact, I started by saying "frustrating tournament and course for myself" No need to have a snarky comment start with that. I was just giving those who haven't played a spoiler (hence the thread) on what to expect.

I just had a practise round and found this course very tough. Not looking forward to them 20+ winds.

Well, I figured I'd play one round before bed. Ended up shooting what will be a possible course record. Couldn't let that momentum go to waste, so I played all 4. I am now sleepy. Very sleepy.
56 (-14) 60 (-10) 68 (-2) 67 (-3)
Total: -29
I'm just happy I beat out Jared and mrkuo. I regularly use those two guys as ghosts for these things, both practice rounds and tournaments. They always go low. So beating them? Sweet. I might be in contention for a title here.

I don't think I ever shot over -10 or -11 in practice before. Shooting -14 in the first round is phenomenal!! Glad to hear we give you good ghost balls... most of the time. My -6 and -7 for the first two rounds wouldn't have been very exciting to follow.

Just received an email with a promotion to CC-C. I hope -24 can sneak into the top 15. Rd 3 rattled me early as I started +3 through 4 but managed to finish -1. Last day was tough too for no apparent reason(-3 just like you). Fun & challenging tournament

A big part of that ridiculous first round was hole outs from the fairway on holes 1, 2, and I think 12. One of those things that comes down to a lot of luck breaking all at once. In a normal round those would all stay just shy for easy birdie putts. But then I'm at -11 instead of -14. Honestly, I couldn't believe what was happening. Haha.
I'm for sure getting an exemption to B. I'll have my fingers crossed all week that it leads to a win.

Worst tournament since the challenge circuit began for me. Finished +4 We all have weeks like that. It can be disheartening when it happens but I have seen you play often enough to know you will bounce back quickly. Sometimes, for what ever reason, things just don't go your way. I am sure next week we will see the real Chris again.

No CC-D thread so here I am. I finished +1 after being -11 before the high wind round.

I hooked almost every drive in the rough and made no putts. I 3 putted 4 times from inside 12 feet in this tournament. Is my pad broken Dan?

I see a conspiracy here, the same way my balls were deflated at Mistwood. I am not going to mention any names but it begins with K ends with a Y.

I'm not saying HE has been tampering with my clubs.....but someone has.
