Shockingly...my 2 worst round this week were the 1st (79) and 4th(85 after I said to hell with it).
I had a 69 in round 2...and wait for it....a +3 73 in round 3 in 22+ mph winds. I even doubled the last hole or I woulda been a 71.
Winds:
1 and 2 - 4-7mph 3 - 22+ the entire round 4 - 12-15
79-69-73-85(4th round I just said screw it) + 25 total
CC-Z HERE I COME!!!!

69, 74,
I'm on round 3 now and this is just stupid. I'm just going to hack through this just to get a result. This is unplayable.

Yes the wind is TOO much for this course in round 3. On #9 I smashed a perfect driver, only to have not enough club to get to the second fairway with a 3W. Hit it for all it's worth and couldn't get there so ended up buried in rough. The wind is what it is, but the course still has to be playable, right? If you can't reach the intended target, what do you do?

Jim, you'll be one of the only people that shoots a much better third round score than the first round!

Jim, you'll be one of the only people that shoots a much better third round score than the first round! That 1st round was embarrassing..but I figured out what it was after it was too late. I was playing the round and what I thought was lag was my controller losing connection due to next to dead batteries. I was hammering 3 foot putts 12 feet past the hole and couldn't understand why...then I tried to tee off for the 2nd round and nothing was working and I looked down at the controller...no lights...arrrrrrrghhhhhhhh. Face palm moment. The 4th round I think I hit a double and triple bogey early and then the rage set in. I did it to myself.

Third round of 20 - 21 mph is just outrageous.
I think there will be more players in CC - Z than originally planned.
M8, I don't mind winds up to 12 and maybe a gust to 15, but constant 21, which rarely favour a long drive for a par 5....instead it favours a downhill par 3?
Fair dinkum guys, I've played in RL on a lot of courses here in Australia and never had winds like these. Unless you are into self harm and go play on the coast and the peninsula (green fees break the bank there though).
So, I guess you can realise from this post that I am struggling. But I will Soldier on as I love the game and really not making adverse comments to the dev's, and the guys here at TGC are fantastic.
Kind regards to all,
oz

Is it really THAT difficult to input some code to set the maximum wind on this game?

69-79-74-66 for a +8 finish. Pretty happy with that. First time I shot under par in a tourney in a while and for 2 rounds. I thought I would play way worse in the 21 mph winds, but I actually played pretty good and shot a +4 for that round. My second round, hole 15 I believe, where their is OB for everything past the fence on the right side by that body of water, I hit my drive between the OB stake and fence. I ended up hitting my ball in the OB twice I think I will be heading off to CC-Z after my performance in the Oceanic Airlines Open, so I guess I will see a couple of you there.

Man oh man. I zipped thru my one practice round and felt this course was pretty benign. Then I played my first round in the tourney and just couldn't get anything right. Bogey after bogey, and it was due to all sorts of failures. Easy putts missed, a couple of shanked drives (which I've avoided since switching to a 360 controller that's not so loose), and just bad luck bounces, some into bunkers. I generally did a good job of thinking that if I played steady, I could chip away and get back into +4, +5 territory, but it just didn't happen. Now reading these posts, I'm scared as hell to play on! Hopefully my round 2 will beat my round 1 of 79.

Won't win but fun course. For everyone griping about rds 3&4 it may be true but rounds 1&2 were a joke the other way. Course was way short and had no teeth without the wind so stop. Winds are fine as is and are a good equalizer.

Terrible course to use my exemption on, 70 65 81 74, so I reckon I'll be staying down here with you all

I really like the course. Tight in areas and short enough BUT the winds in round 3 made it very very difficult.
Taking a 2 week holiday to Asia so i miss the next 2 events.
Good luck guys
