Does that make better sense? It absolutely does. I think your initial post sounded so "technical" and scared the hell out of me. Apart from that, I really like silap's idea (and this would be something I'd be very interested to apply for).

Not knocking your idea Tim, but isn't this what the suggestion forum is for? I have seen a lot of good suggestions go unnoticed and unanswered in there.

Well if we go the group route we could have them moderate that board and have it fall under their umbrella. Always helps to have more eyeballs on the forums - it's too big for any one person to keep an eye on all posts at this point.

I applaud anyone who wishes to apply for this position. It will be a position with considerable work/responsibility but will benefit the community greatly. Kudos to you all.

What is the ultimate goal of tgctours.com? I would imagine the answer to this forms the path ahead.
Have HB shown any interest in merging some of the mechanics from this site into the game? Can it be done? Can they offer something similar but with more automation?
Surely this (tgctours) is unprecedented when it comes to video games?
This site has certainly added a re playability element to the game. Great people on here too!

I've been considering applying for this. I have the experience of a 1000 seat call center, 40 supervisors and 10 trainers. I've over seen many product roll outs and have even beta tested software. My concern is the time. I'm not sure I have the time to devote to a project like this.

Maybe the E-Team suggestion would not require so much of one persons time ?

I would be honored to participate on a "E*Team".. I would dive head first into this and would be here for the long haul.. I'm concerned about folks wanting to change/add things around here.. I like what is going on now at TGC Tours.. Maybe the focus should be on maintaining what we have at TGC Tours and not water things down with too many new ideas.. Keep it simple.. The last thing we want is the folks that run this place to get burnt out because too much is added.. The country club thing sounds like a neat idea but it seems like some people have already started these on their own..
I can't imagine what it takes to run this place with the stats, checking scores, keeping the forum clean, answering emails, etc.. At some point maybe membership should be cutoff or only add new members as others leave.. Maybe keep membership at 1000.. How many members do we have anyway ? I bet it's around 1000 or more.. I'm just thinking out loud.. Dont want to tick anyone off but on the other hand I dont want TGC to suffer with to many things going on.. All the other little things that come with TGC are cool but it's all about that weekly tournament we all love to participate in.. Food for thought..

I'm constantly thinking up new ways this tour could use but I need a filter. I'm also too laid back to be a manager even though my job title has manager in it haha. Plus, my girlfriend already complains I spend too much time on here. Maybe I could be an idea guy where someone could filter the bad apples out. Failing that I'll just keep pumping the suggestions forum full of garbage and posting geeky stats every week :-P

We've got our guy - going to lock this down and then announce shortly. We still really like the idea of the E-Team so look forward to an announcement on that in the near future. Will probably fall into the wheelhouse of those of you that want to help but can't commit on the time required for the Product Manager.
