Just finished my tournament... Started off really well, with a long birdie on #1 and an Eagle of #2... then I played a little more normal/evened out... until hole #10. I went in the sand short of the par 5 green and I was buried about 60-72% and I used my pitch as a flop with 40 yard carry and 28 feet away from flag.... Well, what happened? My ball went flying over the green probably 100+ yards into the water... So I said wtf? Maybe I used the pitch?... It put me back in the same sand spot and I did it again... SAME RESULT.... I scored a 9 on that hole because of that and cost me the entire tournament.
Second round I had a similar glitch... It said a pitch shot 55 yard carry, but it went flying like 80 AGAINST the wind..... um??? HB Studios??? Fix this....
76, 73, 70, 70 (+1).... My worst tournament I felt.
My wind was low double digits or high single digits for round 1 and 2.... 3 and 4 were consist 12-14mph.

I think the average score will suffer on this course versus the last. A +1 might have a chance to avoid a strike even. But it will be close. Yeah, I probably should have, but I was so pissed and confused all at the same time. It cost me the tournament.

Just finished my tournament. 70,69,72,70. Total score -7. Not bad fighting with the wind, but I am a disaster with putter. I am in top 6 of Fairway accuracy and top 6 too in GIR, but only around 50th on putting.

I am in top 6 of Fairway accuracy and top 6 too in GIR, but only around 50th on putting. Did a quick look at your hole by hole for round one. You sure do have fir and gir under control. As we all know getting close on the approach is where birdies fall, so my advice ( and I am by no means what I consider a good player) is you really focus in on Doyleys swing tips and really try and get those distances calculations right. Look for those good landing spots on the green as well, paying attention to the beads and slope fall offs. Lastly it looks like when you do miss the green your chipping and flopping let you down and not your putter? Most of this can be practiced by creating a practice course with course designer, where you can retry shots over and over to get more confidence and find ways to get within a few feet of the pin with consistency. Hang in there mate. Improvements do come in small steps and "ah ha" moments come from watching others play on twitch and reading advice posts in the forums. See you out there.

Had one of my best ever sessions on the game in RD1 and RD2 after a long! couple of days back in college. Tired out for the final 2 rounds but I'm hoping I will get my first top 10 with a final score of -22. Felt I left a few shots out there too including 3 putting from 20 feet on a par 5.

Was feeling pretty good about my progress until meeting this course. This thing was brutal on me, I never figured it out. The course beat me. 71, 72, 74, 78. Couldn't get GIR, chipping/pitching was a disaster, putting was a freak show. I'm getting a demotion strike this week, after keeping it clean for a couple.

Hello Everyone,
This was my first tournament and I did not do very well(+20 for the tourney). How do I know if I will be demoted to a lower tier (cc-d)?

Hello Everyone, This was my first tournament and I did not do very well(+20 for the tourney). How do I know if I will be demoted to a lower tier (cc-d)? Dave If you finish outside the top 70, you get a strike. Get three strikes an you will be demoted. You will see a red mark next to your name on leaderboard when you get a strike. These strikes can be wiped clean if you finish in the top 30. Don't worry about them to much at the moment. It was only your first event and it does take time to get used to things. Get some practice in on next weeks course. It will not be long before you see your scores dropping, it's the same for everyone, we all improved over time. Most important thing is to have fun as you are learning.

I was dumped down from CC-A to CC-B and now to CC-C. I am improving though, I've gone from finishing tourneys in the +20 to +30 range to now hovering around +5 to -5. This was a really rough course, don't be too disheartened. Practice up on next week's course, having a few practice rounds under my belt has really helped me. It will take 3 strikes to demote you, and they get erased if you finish Top 30. Good luck, keep at it!

Thank you very much for your advices. I need to improve the chip too ( I failed the distances between 4 and 15 yds ) And I need to know better the roll out of the ball with the different clubs.

Don't be so hard on urself. I too found chipping tough this week on the soft greens. Was leaving myself a lot of 8 footers
