This course is playing quite differently from Thu-Sun IMO. Funky low looking trajectory on some driver shots. I know it's an illusion but it messes with my head a little to see them come out so low due to the graded elevation changes on the first few holes. I usually play straight threw my 4 rds but thinking I might have to practice each rd in-between. Certainly some birdies out there and some sneaky close OB posts. How is everyone else doing? I am anywhere from -6 to +4 on the practice rounds and I have done a bunch- where you land on the greens are everything and there are good number of tight pin placements too. Challenging course!

The course is layed out to look flat from the tee while still having elevation changes of 20 odd feet. The big problem here for me is putting, putts that I know will go on other courses are coming up short or not grabbing the hole.

I'm thinking about withdrawing because I don't consider a course built to be difficult because it messes with your eyes to be fair. I can't get over -2 per round and if the tee boxes were a bit higher and green details not hidden from the fairway I would probably be shooting -8 or so.

I'm scoring a bit better overall but the rainy day is killing me. Can't quite get my game together for that day. Thinking about just saying F it and stop practicing that round. Seems like a solid plan. LOL

Hope to goodness I play the tourney like I played the front 9 the other day... .-9 through 9 I couldn't miss.... Just felt right... I par'd a couple on the back and had to quit around the 11th or 12th due to a call from work
No way in hades I play like that in the tourney, but for a moment in time, I was DEADLY.... ha ha ha ha

Certainly a lot of birdie chances. The last few holes have some tough pins.

I played a round ( Sunday ) with low winds and scored a 65. Great opportunities of birdie on this course. I hope to play better than last weeks.

Shot a 65 and a 71 on a few practice rounds. Putting will be the key.

Think this course will play tough if the winds get up... some of the fairways are pretty tight

Tough course to get into the double digit negatives on because there are almost no eagle chances here on the 5's.

I like this course. I've not played on the tour long enough to see a lot of the courses, but this one felt different with some different challenges. A few of the drives with 12-14 winds with all the pot bunkers made me think. I usually implode with too much thinking.
Shot a -9 on my practice round but it was honestly more like a -6. Had a chip in and flop-spin-judged-it-wrong-but-it-went-in birdie. Also had a really long putt that fell that I didn't take any time on.

Have fun in round 3 boys...22+ mph the entire round...the par 5's coulda been par 7's and it wouldn't have mattered in that wind. Hold onto your hats.
By the way...I decided not to prolong it any longer..this tourney will be strike 3 for me...down to Z I go.

Is it fear, dread, indifference that I'm feeling right now? Or just not looking forward to the grind (round 3). I just have no ambition to get into it today. I've psyched myself up all this week that this is the course for me to make or break, I play it well in practice, want to finish top 30 or better and erase all strikes or off to E I go. Yet I just feel like I can't be bothered. I haven't played in 2 days, been playing Forza 6 since it came out.
Did one round last night on the Friday course and it was like "come on lets just get this round over with" Wondering how the 2-3 day break is going to affect my play, think I needed a break, just hope it doesn't cost me in the hurricane that is known as round 3. Only once have I seen 21+ winds and that was when they released the tropical theme and I played one of their official new courses at the time, 2 holes, I laughed, shook my head in disgust and exited and went to play somewhere else.
Guess I will grind it out later today and see what happens.
