Wow. The CC-E locker room smells a lot better than CC-Z. You definitely get a lot more action here.

I played most of round 3 with a headwind of around 13mph. It was somewhat more varied in round 4. What's the best way of dealing with headwind? Loft down short clubs (relative to the distance to the pin)? How do you stop those shots on the green? Turns out I'm better at dealing with tailwind or wind from the side than I am with headwind.

Hey Irving and Kiwi,
Not really interested in seeing you guys 'sans towels' in the locker room. More interested in seeing what clubs you have in your bags.
I am sure that you have more than the standard than I have. Kiwi will understand what I mean, but in second round I was on the 'devils 87' and the last round was 7 runs short of making my ton!
I think I will be joining you guys in CC -Z.
My mate is there...shotts = John Shotton. So perhaps we can make a foursome of wannabes?
As far as HB making another improvement/ ?? change to the mouse swing I am at a loss why, it has taken me 12 months with my bloody arthritis to get almost 95% onto the fairway and now they are going to make changes for what reason? I did not complain after months of finding the beach or the rough, and the occasional tree which required a chainsaw. I guess I have not been following the outcries from mice users on the HB forum but I sure hope I don't have to spend another 12 months trying to learn.
BTW, don't know your ages gents but I'm in the mid 60's so if we play live just give me time to catch you young fellas.
Kind regards to all,
oz
BTW....feel free to friend me on steam if PC user so we may have a game.....Kiwi is just a short 2500 odd kms swim from me....lol

I shot a -2 in round 1. I hate the ridiculous wind on every course, in every round. It's so unrealistic. We'll see when the melt down occurs... It happens in 1 round each tournament. I just start hacking around through the rough like I have a machete club! Haha.

I'm not sure, but I feel as if the game isn't really equipping you with the tools you need to deal with some wind conditions. It makes it hard to stop the ball properly or making decent shots from the rough. We aren't playing as professional golfers in this game I assume? More like good amateurs?

Loft down short clubs (relative to the distance to the pin)? How do you stop those shots on the green? Turns out I'm better at dealing with tailwind or wind from the side than I am with headwind. I attempt to land the ball on the front edge of the green or a distance from the flag that will allow it to roll out. Of course this isn't always possible when you are 3 and 4 irons in. Pick a spot before the pin taking into account the roll on the ball. Greens have a different speed of roll and clubs pitch and run differently, Its just a case of adapting. Another thing i take into account is the ball will not roll out as much into a wind, wheras with the wind it will roll out considerably more. I know i make it sound simple but the reality is we all know it isn't.

The wind is having 2 x the effect on the ball than it should. Just what we have to deal with i guess.

Never reacted like that in practice rounds even with 15mph cross winds. Something definitely off.

Henric, I hate to complain about the wind as others have very clearly mastered it... Evidenced by what guys shoot on the better tours. I guess I struggle with the fact that this is supposed to be a simulation, and wind and the effect the wind has on the ball like this are not even close to normal. I do understand that they have to make these courses a little more difficult somehow, but that should be done by design of the course. That's probably a big ask in many cases, so wind it is. I'm sure that once we finally master the wind, we just won't care. Maybe I should say if we master... Haha!
