Well..no shock here..I struggled..yet again. I just couldn't get a grip on this course even in practice rounds. It's a beautiful course,to the eye, but I just couldn't "feel" it. Doesn't seem to flow particularly well, but you can't like 'em all.
78-71-79-79 for +19 on the tournament...likely will put a strike against me..but I expect a lot to struggle on this one.

Had some decent practice rounds, majority under par towards the end. Shot a 72 for Even par in round 1. At least I'm in a position to move now. #9 is a b****! I don't think I've ever shot a par on that one. I also lose the most strokes on the par 3's. I'm having a real hard time figuring them out. On to round 2!

And a 70 for -2 for the tourney on round 2. #9 and the par 3's were again my undoing. Argh!

I have completed all 4 rounds. Wind constant at 10 - 14. But main factor is the wind favored only once on a par 5.....though it did favor on the downhill par 3.....14 mph and 200 odd yards away....3 times!
Needless to say, I personally disliked, not the course, but the way the winds were...I would concede a 50/50 either way, but this was not to be....BTW...was this a TW EA course?
Currently in CC- E, now heading for CC- Z
Kind regards to all,
oz

I finished all 4 rounds as well. After a decent run recently and a win, i think i became too complacent. I shot +2 overall after losing interest in the middle of the second round. I'm dissapointed BUT.. I can't criticise the course as apart from a couple of spots made almost unplayable by the winds of the 3rd and 4th round, I enjoyed it. I do however think that it is the wrong choice or type of course for us guys in the lower levels of the CC. With the higher winds we have to accommodate, even the more wide open courses will prove difficult due to other aspects of the game that seperate the skill levels of the players. Having said that, the guys at tgc do a great job for us, the designers continue to produce top notch quality courses and HB continue to strive to make the game better for all of us. The wind and the choice of course is a small price to pay so instead of whining like i have, i'm going to try to put my effort into learning how to play in the winds better. Good luck all

I'm dissapointed Did much the same in a more spectacular fashion, have been away a week, and played last night, I was -5 after 8 holes I think, then it started to disappear, ended -1 rd1, Evs Rd 2, then I have lost my mind a bit, and gone +7 and +8 for the weekend rounds. This after -34 and 11 shot victory last week. Not sure how I use an exemption, or if I even had one, is it auto?

Yeah I see it now, ah well I blew it lol. +14 on my step up, a big letdown for my sponsors ha.
Been playing some of the Doak Course D setup. I like it, played in 8-10 I hit a -7 and a few more under par rounds, about -14 for 4 rounds. Thats the next goal then for me now, hope to have a good run and shoot for the web, dream big and all that !

Well, round 3 turned out to be an utter and unmitigated disaster. Right back to my old self again not being at all able to handle the wind. Missed everything, in all areas of the game. Long, short, putting. Just useless. Recorded an 87 for +15. Finished off with a 74 in round 4 ending the tournament on +15. Sucks.

Wow. The CC-E locker room smells a lot better than CC-Z.
