Everything about this course feels unfinished. My first impressions were straight-forward but bland. Interestingly (or not) this is the same designer as Grangethorpe which is wk 36?? . Fair enough, I would like to address some of what I did Mightlook unfinished because the object limit was nearly maxed due to the heavy gorse usage so a little liberty had to be taken. The course looks pretty much like it actually does, played it several times and like most links courses in Scotland especially the open courses don't have all the bells, whistles and pretty things they quite open, generally flatish areas where the elements are a big part of how the course plays, med/high winds combined with the undulating greens are the courses biggest defences, can't control the wind so low scoring is possible, if it does blow on all four rounds then I expect to see plenty of crying over how hard it is, no win for me I am afraid. Heres some people playing if you have 30 or so minutes. As a recreation I could only go with the info I gathered from the strokesaver and memory with some artist licence. You opinion is your opinion but I did the best I thought, good luck with competition, hope it ends up a fair test. Also Grangethorpe was designed by someone else. Al

No problems on PS4 here. Sorry to hear you're having problems pal. I'm confused to the half-finished assessment? Am I the only one that thinks it's a corking course? Haha. Although, I didnt quite like the week after as much. Only played that the once though and the best courses usually grow on me. Just getting my excuses lined up Luke as to why I finished poorly in the finals!!! Yeah, there are tee boxes missing from the other tee locations, the course feels bare - I know it's a links but there's a lot of space that feels empty? It's also a copy from a real course so should probably check that out before moaning too much. I like the playability of it though.

Al Hey Al, Firstly, my apologies for any offence taken! Not a personal attack - I didn't appreciate this was a real life creation. It was my view from day 1 when I play tested this course. It always felt like wide open space with nothing in it. The holes themselves have been recreated to play well. Also, it's a very hard thing to do in creating a links course as covering the whole course with long grass maxs out the object meter. My bad on Grangethorpe! I'm sure you had another course lined up for the web finals.

Al The GNCD doesn't seem to be able to cater for flat open courses. Watched the tee shots in the video and there are different grass types, rows of small bushes etc that are hard to make visual in the game. You've got the flatness spot on!!

The big spaces are exactly that, the land these courses are built on are the areas between sea and countryside (hence the 'links' name), usually these have nothing in them due to the enviromental conditions. I had thought of increasing the speeds for the fairways/greens etc but that would passible make it unplayable, I can't deny that I hope the wind blows a bit as then the course comes into it's own. Oddly for this course the grass is not really that long for most holes on the sides as it's under the gorse so has not been used particularly much. I have had one course picked for the Euro Tour, Gladstone Vale (shameless plug), so just a mix up, no probs Al

Play your rounds sober or with a light buzz at worst. I learned my lesson on this the hard way this week.

Week 36 is Turnberry Kintyre Course A Highland design by Alan McSpadyen. Week 37 is my (Simon Morris) course Grangethorpe Downs, which was created using the Countryside theme. Enjoy & good luck!!!

Enjoyed it so far. As with many Scottish links courses, the wind and the greens are the best defenses. The players on this tour may be able to eat it up unless the winds are up, but we'll see. Also I set up a practice tour on PS4 - web w36 practice turnberrykintyre
