q-school was going well, except Copper Creek utterly destroyed me. Never have I been so humiliated and taunted by a course. Would have gotten into the web.com too, if it wasn't for that pesky round Mount Yeti - E (72) Club on whispering river +1 (73) Copper creek +16 (87)Son gual desert -1 (71) Kodiak Reserve Light -2 (70) Crawford Mines -2 (69) Oh well, probably for the best as I don't think I would have competed very well in that tier. See you on the challenge circuit

That is still just missing the Web cutoff and is a higher end CC-A qualifying score. Good luck to you in CC-A and welcome!

70 at Kodiak is very impressive though!

Thanks, I was finding some form towards the end. My overall score was +12, which qualifies me for CC-A if I understand correctly. However I have just received a message telling me I am in CC-B.

Nice start and welcome to the site mrshoes!
I'm amazed at how some people can just pick up this game and shoot so well in q-school! I think I was close to +40 for July's Q-school when i first started. Jumped straight in after playing the computer for a few dozen hours.
If it makes you feel any better about Copper Creek, I've got almost 200 hour under my belt now and I still hit over par on the course. And in Kodiak I was only a stroke better. You even beat me on son gual (was probably my least favorite of the bunch). You can only play Q-School for placement once. So I just played it for practice.

Thanks, I've had the game since it was in early access on PC, having said that I've "only" put 186 hours in to the game because of my busy schedule, so I wasn't a beginner. I am new to TGC Tours though, I had no idea this awesome community was out there! I am a very streaky (and not great) player, having read some of the forums I suspect I will be hovering around CC-B / CC-C. I have registered for my first event which is going to be at Isla Reseca which I find very tough.

I don't think I would have continued playing this game past 30 or 40 hours if it was not for TGC Tours. Not sure how this game remained fun for you without it. Make sure to stop by the Driving Range sub-forum and read the sticky tips file.

Also, if you are logged on to the forums here and in the shoutbox you see people advertising their rounds to be watched, it will also help you. Good luck, sir!

Do I still hold the Q-school record at Copper Creek at -10? Just curious because that was a great round and score...thus why I still remember it

Didn't have anything to do today so I decided what the hey...Lets just jump on and play Octobers Q school to see how I would have fared If I waited to today to try It
I remember my first attempt: I was +45 a couple months ago.. Humbled big time
So Far I have completed four courses
Mt Yeti: -9 Whispering River: E Copper Creek -3 Son Gual: E after three holes on Kodiak I was -2
Little better than the first time I tried it but still some tough courses...
Cant wait to see where I finish up....Actually quite fun
