I don't understand. You need to post a video showing the shot you mean. Anyone in game can do a chip shot and loft it

When chipping you can loft and deloft like any other shot. So if you want to go 9 yards with roll out on a level green and no wind, you could either deloft a LW slightly -- 3 1/2 yards in the air 5 1/2 roll out OR you could loft a SW slightly for a different shot 5 1/2 yards in the air 3 1/2 roll. I find these VERY important. If i'm slightly uphill to the hole at 7 yards out, i'm delofting a LW. If there is a huge downhill slope after the hole and it is 8 yards out. I loft up a SW so if I miss it stops just after the hole. As normal, this requires practice. Honestly I find chipping at those lengths FAR easier to hole the shot than doing a flop at 50% or less power.

Chipping is without a doubt usually better for 7-10 yards. The real tricky ones are the 14-17 yarders. No man's land.

I've been using the 9 iron. 2 full boxes of loft and it goes 12 yards on a fairly fast green with no slope. The roll is about right too. Not that I'm great at it yet but that's what I find working best at the moment.

The problem is that there is so much roll out when chipping with anything les than the SW that the total distance the ball travels can vary wildly. You also have to take many factors into account and if you're slightly off on any of them the effect will usually be fairly large.
For a 15 yard shot I'm typically using a fully lofted LW flop and aiming for ~80% power. That's tough to control for me though and I can wind up as low as 60% or as high as 100%.

I think the OP is talking about something I have noticed as well. I used to play turn enabled with 2 of the top players here and noticed every chip shot was 15% power. They also went in the hole regularly. I have tried to duplicate this 15% power and cant. It may very well be a glitch where we see it as 15% when its not, or it is a technique some of the better players have mastered.

The chips are set to 15% default. 100=15 on chips. You'll also notice pitches are 70%. They aren't seeing 15 or 70 on their screen. They're seeing 100.

Thanks for understanding - foreplay- I think it may be a glitch we see when turn base is enable, 15% when its actually 100%, unless someone says otherwise.

The trick i found with chippin is grow a set of balls and hit it at 200%. Just make sure u hit the middle of the flag otherwise u got a disaster on ur hands
