The gauntlet has been thrown down. Game on! May as well just call these next few weeks the Web.com Thunderdome! We are basically the same player. Given 1,000,000 rounds head to head I would expect to win 500,000. Consider: Wins? 1 each Earnings per event? Nic $13,884, Clay $13,550 Scoring Avg (Web) - Clay 65.2, Nic 65.3 WGR (before this last week)? Clay 163, Nic 162. (with last week, Clay surged ahead by 6 spots) Top 5 - Clay 2, Nic 1 Top 10 - Clay 5, Nic 4 Top 25 - Nic 9, Clay 8 Best Round - Nic 56, Clay 57 Would at least be a good show in the Thunderdome.

on that note I beat Your score this week my first round was ok my 2nd round in high Winds was great my last 2 rounds were mediocre I've picked up JDs hook! I sucked this week - even started missing the short ones again. Hopefully I can stick around in web and get some experience for next season. Clearly not good enough for anything more just yet. Oh - add me back on PS4 ;-) I feel for you regarding the hook, it most certainly cost me a win last week. After that round, I went into the GNCD and just hit drive after drive, which managed to fix the problem (for now). I'm swinging more accurately now than I have since before the PS4 swing fix update. If my putter catches fire this week, I'm hoping to put on a clinic for you guys lol. **Edit: Disregard my "clinic" comment, looks like James Morgan has already put on quite the show this week, with a -14 first round I might just leave the clubs at home, hit up the cart girl for some beers, and watch his ghost light it up haha.

-14 first round is extremely impressive. My hat is tipped to James.

Thanks for putting together those top money lists Luke! The race is getting tight as we head into the final few weeks of the season... For this week, I had one of my better tournaments. I figured out how to put the ball in the right place on most greens, which would usually lead to pretty easy birdie putts if within 15 feet. Only disappointment was round 3 - just struggled to get much going on front 9, putting my score 4-5 above what I wanted to shoot. Here's my round-by-round breakdown -- shot a -38 total. Round 1: -13 (59) Round 2: -9 (63) Round 3: -6 (66) Round 4: -10 (62) The winds are relatively tough on this course for several holes. Some very gettable par 5's become three shot holes. And if I remember correctly there was a par 4 in round 2 that you can't reach even with a perfect Driver-3W. Par is a very good score on that hole for the first three rounds. Good luck to all - curious to see where the winner will end up. Guessing around -43 will do it. How did you go -9 in 20mph winds

Am I the only one who doesn't have fun when the winds are nearly 10+ mph for every single round? It just isn't fun.

Haha, was easily my best round so far in a tournament. However, door is open after grinding out a -5 for that 2nd round. Putter was on fire in the 1st round but I was playing like a chicken 2nd round and couldn't get much going apart from a spell around the turn.
Probably wait until later this week for the next 2 rounds so good luck to everyone in the meantime.

How did you go -9 in 20mph winds Wasn't anything crazy remarkable - the change I've done recently is to adjust draw/fade for up to 15mph and then manually adjust the rest. Gotten a little better at knowing how much distance wind will knock down or add when from the side. Other than that...made those putts!!

As long as the greens aren't super firm, and I'm swinging decent, I actually prefer playing in 10mph+ winds. Of course, there are exceptions to that rule; I really don't enjoy courses where you can't reach the fairways off the tee on a windy day. However, I don't mind hitting a fairway, smashing a 3 wood into a 20mph headwind, and coming up 40yds short on a long par 4. To score well on long courses in the wind, you must develop an excellent short game. I would've never improved on this game if I had been a wind waiter since the beginning, only playing in dead calm conditions. Embrace the wind, learn how to score in those conditions, and you'll become an even better player IMO.

I have had to make a couple of long bombs to keep my head above water in round 2. You also better be straight off the tee, even a bit wide in the cone can hurt...

Might miss the cut even though I hit zero bogeys. Ridiculous first 14 holes. No birdies, no bogeys. All pars. Birdied 3 of the last 4 to end -3. Second round in stronger winds I managed -4, 4 birdies all pars. Must have burnt the edge and lipped out of 10 holes in total im guessing. D'oh. Ah well it's just warming up for the web.com finals anyway.

Gotta be honest. I am getting tired of seeing the same names on top of the leaderboard every week. I think there should be some forced promotion to the PGA Tour after a time. Give somebody else a chance.
