I don't know if there is a thread for this or not. I find when I get within 10 feet(which is getting better) I have the tendency to pull a lot of putts and shave the corner. I've tried to compensate but then I find myself hitting it straight those times and I miss anyway. Anyone else have an issue with pulling the shorter putts? I'm usually pretty good from 20ft out or more on lag putts...just the short 7-10 footers I'm pulling left.

Nah, I never pull them I push mine I have found what helps is really focussing on a smooth through stroke, trying to keep it straight. Also, if you have the same tendency all the time, you could try rotating your controller a bit. For example, if you rotate the controller a bit to the left, your pull stroke (assuming you are right handed) should become a bit straighter.

Missing those 7-10 footers for birdie and burning the edge is getting annoying. I'm willing to try anything to correct it.

Honest question because I swear it happens on occasion... is it me or does the cursor occasionally set you up a tiny bit left of center?

It's definitely not dead center all the time, that's for sure.

Is the swing mechanism for putting the same as for other shots (power wise I mean). So you say smooth stroke but will I lose power in my putt if I do not flick the analog stick forward? Thanks.

Don't think so. I believe it is all about length of backswing.

Don't think so. I believe it is all about length of backswing. I second that. No need to flick the stick like crazy or so while putting.

I started to adjust my forward swings to help compensate for fast movements to the side. Now i play with friends a lot locally. I have a wireless 360 controller receiver which for some reason allows anyone to swing on any pad regardless of who's go it is. So if a buddy hasn't noticed its his tap in putt I'll tap it in for him. Now you only get to control the swing (right stick). You cannot aim with the left stick when its someone else's turn. So if there was much movement i would try and compensate by hooking or slicing the followthrough. I started moving this over to my main strategy as a way to compensate for some of the break. Does anyone else do this or am I alone with my madness? I only use it on less than 10ft putts. Works best if there is initial break rather than closer to the hole break. Also helps on downhill putts where you would be more worried about adding extra power to fight the break.

I used to pull all my putts. I'd prepare for that and aim a bit to the right and then of course I'd hit one straight and miss anyway. I started doing what Pub mentioned, just concentrate some more and hit it smooth. And I've done the shift the controller around.. I don't pull near as much now.

I had this problem when putting so I changed control sticks to the right and my putting has vastly improved . I dont enjoy the right stick so I bought a new controler and the pulling has now stopped .Though I still miss a hell of a lot lol
Great Game this thanks to everyone that brought it to fruition and keep it being awesome.
