I'm not sure why it is, but I have the opposite problem. I can never seem to get more than a couple below par in the practice rounds, but come to tournament time, usually can get to -5 or -8 each round.
Just went from a -11 on my final round at Firaxinus, to a +9 at Le Golf! Although granted I was getting 20mph winds at Le Golf. Surprised I haven't seen more complaining about the fairways, I didn't think they were that much bigger than Hau'oli, just less bunkers
Wait what? Are you saying you shot like -30 for this tournament? If so dam bro. -11 was your final rd in the tournament? Sounds like you will be moving on up Yeah final round -11, ended up -29. Not sure what happened but everything just seemed to click one night on my 3rd and 4th rounds. Made a longish putt for eagle on the 18th hole that I'm hoping might put me over the top!
Thought maybe I had figured this game out and could make a push for a tour card in the future... and then went ahead and put up the +9 on Le Golf to bring me back down to earth!
I think the one thing I miss in practice mode is the ghost balls, is there anyway to turn them on in practice or are they only available in tourney's/tours?

So yeah, I am pretty sure -29 would get you a win in CC-A (not even sure what CC level you are). Nice shooting.
You can add ghost balls in the screen where you select "tee off". The option is something like add friends or add rivals or something like that. You can also do it in game in the start menu.

Yeah, I think -29 will get you the win on any CC level this week, you must be good in the wind! Top CC-A after 3 rounds is -18. CC-B is the highest this week. Yeah, you can add ghost balls before you tee off, before you select tee off you can move the cursor to the list of ghost scores and add them. You can toggle between best scores, friends scores, recent scores etc. I only ever us ghosts in practice, I don't like the distraction my doing my TGCT rounds.

I find it to be a distraction as well so I wait and let them hit before I swing. The ghost balls have really helped me from time to time on carry distances so I keep them active despite the distraction

19mph winds in round 1. Could be some high scores with all the water on the course.

I like this course Lowdon. I can see the similarity to the real course. Just hit -1 in 1st round (Web player but play turn based with CCA player). 2 birdies, 1 bogey. Should have been a few strokes lower but poor putting cost me.

Just finished round 1. Having made this course I must have played it about 20 times but with those 19mph winds its like a completely different course. Pretty pleased with my round of -2 which currently has me top of the PS4 leaderboard.

Thanks Oswinner, I really spent a lot of time trying to make it look and play like the real course, I think I got pretty close in the end and the tweaks I made for the Tour Versions hopefully improved things further.
Can I ask that anyone who likes this course give it a like on TGCTours as it currently only has 2 likes (and 1 of them is from me!).

Couple of really silly missed putts cost me -5/-6 round in the high winds. -3 much better than a +7 like I had a few weeks ago on high winds.
Is it me or do slightly miss hit shots get punished brutally in these winds? It also seems to be miss hit shots in the direction of the wind.

In high winds like this (winds I've seen in only two other rounds over 300 rounds carded in this game) I usually like to aim even farther in the direction against the wind than I would with what I usually would calculate it to be for 19 mph.

Go to the course listings here: tgctours.com/Course/Listings?Grid-sort=Likes-desc&Grid-page=1&Grid-pageSize=50&Grid-group=&Grid-filter= and then search for your chosen course/designer etc. You then have the option to like the course.

I played a couple of practice rounds yesterday, like the course a lot. Winds were decent enough at around 7/8 mph.
Will probably start this one off tonight/tomorrow and I expect hit 4 miserable rounds.
