"How do you get out of the deep rough consistently?"
Don't get in the deep rough in the first place.
(RIMSHOT)
(Seriously, use a wedge.)

Very bizarre that the answer is delofting a sand wedge that extreme is the best option... I'm not saying you should be able to hit a wood out of the rough when your deep, but if your normal club at that distance would of been a 7 or 6, you should be able to just club up one or two and make up the lost yardage from the thickness of grass...

Wow, I had no clue about the delofting thing. That surely would've helped me in some situations in the past.

I actually saw this for the first time when Sloaner was twitching one of his rounds a couple of weeks ago. While I don't have to use it often, I'm still happy I've seen it there. Wasn't thinking about that option before either. As I've already mentioned somewhere else before, watching the top guys on Twitch definitely improved my game (extremely).

It is best used i guess on par 5s and long par 4s. I tested it out a few times and the SW yeah. 187%, and with a tail wind i was hitting it 140-150 consistently. PW was 130. 3iron was 70-100 yards. All of it was 51-70% heavy rough.
I agree, this is much more unrealistic than chipping on the green.

Didn't know about this and I might just try to put it out of my mind.
