Unlike last time, I'm back quickly working on a new course. I'm getting out of my comfort zone (Links and Parkland) a bit here and working on a course set in the Delta theme. The idea here is a course based outside of Dubai in United Arab Emirates. I've looked at some courses in this area and think they look fabulous. They have the rugged outside texture with very luscious green grass on the course much like the Delta theme. The course is set on a large river that wraps around the course. Every single hole is played closely along this river. Holes 1-4 go straight out and are dogleg rights running with the river. Hole 5 crosses the river and heads back the opposite way with the last few holes on the back being dogleg left shapes. The layout looks really cool, and I hope it creates a nice atmosphere with seeing the holes across the river at all times. This course will be a bit shorter than my other 2 tracks with more shot shaping required off the tee and smaller greens. Fairways are fairly firm with medium firm greens and faster speeds. I'll post some crappy ps4 pictures here in a few minutes. I hope to have a 9 hole beta out by tomorrow night or so. I'm working on the 7th hole right now.

What's the real course name? I love the look so far. I have to catch up and play some of your courses.

What's the real course name? I love the look so far. I have to catch up and play some of your courses. Jumeirah Estates. Very little resemblance. But when looking at that course, I decided Delta was the best way to represent a course in that region. Jumeirah uses red mulch/sand to outline the green lush grass. Yeah, check them out and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Screenshots looking good! I love the lighting! Thanks bud. I love the lighting as well. Although I'm really struggling with the orientation of it. #9/#18 look incredible with the lighting behind, but with it there, no other holes really benefit from the direction. lol

Started playing WS Beta earlier but found it really really laggy right from the off (same as quite a few Delta courses) so had to stop after about 4 holes It seemed worst on the flyovers or when the ball was highest in the air so I went into the GNCD and did a bit of testing myself on an autogenned Delta course. I found that lag seemed to exist when using both the 'mountainous' and 'hilly' backdrops but there was none using the other two flatter ones. I don't know whether this is just a problem with my system or in general as I have seen reports of lag on Delta courses from other people as well.

Did a bit more testing on the lag issue and it's not just your course. Could be worth trying to switch to the 'lower' backdrop to see if it makes a difference (unless it turns out to be just me that has the problem ofc ) I have started a thread about it on the HB forums HERE

I think my meter is under a quarter full and I didn't have lag when I usually do on quite a few courses. I'll check that out with the backdrop later and maybe post a flat version and get you to try that one.
