OK, so I think I've read about this, or something similar, before but just thought I'd ask the question anyway.
Basically, I've been playing my TGC Tours Week 32 rounds this weekend - the first three yesterday and then the last round this morning. I heard that there was a possible glitch sometimes whereby you can continue the tournament after a break only to find that you are on the 18th green, needing to take your final putt again and thus adding a stroke to your total. So I always do what was suggested, which was to take your tee shot for the next round even if you're not intending to play any more holes that session.
So, having done that for the start of my final round yesterday, I rejoined today only to find that I was about to hit my approach shot to the Par 4 first hole (at Hau'oli Mino'aka) as my third stroke and not my second. Now, I can't prove that I had only hit the one tee shot into the rough from the previous day, but I know for a fact I did! The thing is, I'm not too bothered about whether I've lost a shot or not, but I just need reassurance that if I sign for the higher round total of 69, that it won't somehow cause a problem with the verification of my score? I'm assuming that my birdie was lost and the replacement par is cast-iron now? Not sure it makes any difference to why this happened or not, but I played a couple of casual rounds in between the opening tee shot in the 4th round and the resumption this morning.
Have included a link to a quick video to show what happened at the time - like I said, I can't prove that I only took one shot to get to my starting point but after a decent approach from the rough I was hoping for a birdie!
