Thought I'd get this thread up and running. I had a great first two round to go -16 (65-63) then the usual Sir Paul Martin disaster strikes. +3 (71-76) for the final two rounds giving me a total of -13. No doubt I'll be up near the top of the leaderboard come Wednesday only to slip out of the top 20 come Saturday. Just cannot get a consistent four rounds under my belt but nothing new Chat away!

Nice job, Paul. That should be in contention for top 25. I'm up and down on this course in practice. I just hope I can score in the fourth round when conditions usually are best. I've cost myself a few positions the past few weeks by posting mediocre scores in the final round. Good luck to all this week!

I can only dream of getting an exemption to A like you will be getting (congrats btw my man!) but by the power of Greyskull, I'll get there one day! The first two rounds really couldn't have gone much better though I missed a tonne of birdie opportunities by a whisker, which could have lowered that -16 considerably. Round 3 consisted of 2 birdies, 15 pars and 1 bogey if I recall but again it could have been a much much better score as again I was skimming the hole for birdies. The final round is one I want to forget about quick! I think I was around Even on the front 9, the wind was very tough as literally every shot was playing into it. The back 9 was just a disaster. I shanked a ball into the water and it was downhill from then on. I never ever shanked a shot prior to about a fortnight ago and I'm convinced it's my XB1 controller. So much so that I am seriously considering buying a PS4 as I've played TGC on there and I've always felt my accuracy to be much better. After that my enthusiasm dropped and I even missed the simplest of putts for a par on 17 or 18. Best of luck when you kick your rounds off on Monday mate.

I might not get an exemption, though. If Bruno fired a 62 or better in the final round, I'll miss by a stroke. He could do it and he either hasn't played it or hasn't posted it yet. Fingers crossed!

Right! £10 reward if someone cuts Bruno's broadband line before he submits his final round score UPDATE: Somebody's playing on CC-A next week

Sneaked in for the exemption -- you can save the reward money. We'll see how it goes! Tough course in the conditions and tough field.

So I'm conscious I posted my score last week and was out by two shots when I handed in my scorecard!!! So I've got the following this week 67-67-69-71 for a total of -14 Decent return but I had 3 bogies in nearly every round and feel like I missed so many good birdie opportunities. Think it will be get a top 30 possibly but can't see it doing any better than that!! Great course and was thinking the whole way round it!!!!

Good playing in the first 2 rounds mate. Had me covered. I managed a 66 in the 3rd round and haven't played the 4th yet.. The amount of putts I've missed has almost caused the controller to go through the TV, 3 putting from 5 feet on the 17th was almost the end for me. Hoping I can re gather from my rage for the last round haha

That is a seriously impressive total for that course and that final round 61 is simply phenomenal! Just wish I could find the consistency that some of you guys have. When you're -16 at the half way stage you just don't expect to finish the final two in +3 though maybe I should as it's becoming a habit!

Hopefully we both are close to leader and get an exemption!!

Hopefully we both are close to leader and get an exemption!! We'll get there in time mate but like you I feel the desperation is kicking in and maybe I need to relax a little more. It's funny as I bought my XB1 to play next gen games. TGC is hardly that but it's all I ever play! I've actually played too much of it lately, almost to the point where I feel I've burned myself out playing it so much so I'm only going to practice a round or two from now on and no more. In respect of us getting an exemption, I believe the best total score I score on the XB1 was -24 so if that was a CC-A player and the top score then I've already missed out but you'll have made it! I'd be gutted for myself if I did miss out by a stroke as I threw a par away right at the end of the final round due to frustration and they're the ones that generally come back to haunt you. In saying that, given the majority of members play on the PS4, I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them going -30 under or lower. I think the next course (Fraxinus) could be the one that might get me there as it's a course I know I can go extremely low on. But once again, doing it consistently for 4 rounds in a tournament is another thing altogether!

Here so my -7 is 15 shots off CC-B leader this week. Does that mean I get an exemption for upcoming event? Either way still super news !!!

Either way still super news !!! Unfortunately not mate as you would have to be within 15 shots of the worse winning score in any of the flights above you so CC-A in your case. I'll be very surprised if your -14 at Hau'oli doesn't make it though. Touch and go I reckon as I can just see one or two players going under -30.
