No - looks like the naming hook was dropped. I haven't heard that anywhere. If true then how are all systems getting the same winds.

Tourney creators just need to coordinate on publish time. There's only 3, shouldn't be that difficult. #CalmDown potentially but if the naming hook has been dropped and then winds are taken on an algorithm based on the time itbwas created this could cause dramatic differences for potentially only 1 seconds difference if it's based on an algorithm. If the naming hook hasn't been dropped and is just referring to how winds are sourced for the later rounds then all is gravy

What are the odds of that 1 second being THE second everything changed? Or that minute even? I trust the TGCT creators will be in coordination with each other since they are aware of the implementation. If it turns out a little different once in a while, then look at it as some platforms had different tee times

No - looks like the naming hook was dropped. Source? Maybe Doyley can enlighten us if this has been the case (or not).

Hope to clear some of this up
1. naming convention of tours/tournaments is key and still in place 2. this post is correct: By the sound of it, when the tournament is created the game goes into the future and pulls back what the wind speeds would be. So it doesnt matter when you play your 4th round. That will be the wind that it pulled back at creation
My assumptions The first system to publish the event sets the winds, the subsequent systems will match up assuming name is exactly the same

The last time everyone had determined different people were getting winds in different directions within about 20 minutes of the tournaments being created. This time, there was no freak-out en-mass happening... so it couldn't have been that bad. However they did it, it seemed to work. Maybe we could give it a chance to keep working before we worry about it not working?
