Welp, I just watched a round of a guy going so far out of the way to avoid hitting the white line, it was pretty ridiculous.
61 out of 62 shots all were pulls, 3 different sets of pulls, one close to the white line, the other about mid way from the red edge/white line, and a third borderline cone line (but he never missed outside the cone with this borderline shot) the one shot not a pull? dead white line, no problems with that tbh, we all get a dead white line from time to time.
it was funny watching this person putt, for each different pull, he would aim that much further to the right, like he knew just how bad he was going to pull the ball.
its pretty amazing really, to almost always be dead aimed for a pin but yet missing so badly.
i can't say for sure how a person can do this, but i have my guesses.
we all have tenancies, i get that, some tend to pull often, some tend to push often, but i have yet to see a good player do this all the time......all the time. this was more of robot like.
good players from what i have seen, hit that white line more often, they also just miss from left side and the right side, and their putting stroke is usually pretty solid, never ever seen a good player, aim 3 inches to the right on a flat putt because he is anticipating a pull to the left.
anyhoot, there are no rules against this it seems, and this person will be making it to pga tour really soon or euro tour, (whatever he/she chooses)
call me crazy all ya want, but 61/62 shots divided into three types of misses combined with putter anticipation on those three different strokes......just does not add up to anything human-like.
