I don't know of any rule that if a person has the opportunity to play in an event like the Masters or one of the Opens that they MUST either play it or sit out the week period. While most real golfers would never turn down the chance to play in a major, I still don't think there is any rule that they must accept or not play. Except the TGC Tours rule this. It's a rule in place on here and we'll known. They had the option to accept the invite nd failed to do so. Why should they then be allowed to play in Euro when others wanted to play that event but we're told they can't. They have to be booted out in fairness. I doubt it's admins fault, I'm sure it was accidental

They will be removed from the Euro tour and we are giving them the opportunity to play the WGC. We don't have an automated mechanism in place to keep someone from registering for an event if they have declined an invite to another event. So they got through. But we'll fix it.

All good out of interest though how come they get the opportunity to play the WGC? They had the same.chance to register as anyone else and they didn't... And if there excuse is because they wanted to play the Euro tour... Well then surely they should have read the rules? Unless I am missing something here?

Cool, thanks for getting this resolved Jeff.

Rob, It's because although we all know the rule, and we've mentioned it in past invitational emails, we didn't this time. And it's not in our official rules (though will be soon). So, since we failed to spell that out in the invitational email and it's not written in our rules, we don't feel we can hold them to the fire. Jeff
