No, invite tournaments are mandatory attendance or sit out. Why is Alan Browne who is ranked 26th over playing on the Euro tour this week then? I thought that was weird too.

Doyley said if you are qualified for the WGC then you either play it or sit out completely so it's annoying to know that he was allowed to play the normal euro tourney.

Also the 56th,60th and 61st players are playing the Euro. Not sure how this is fair. Hopefully Doyley/Tim can explain as these guys were on the invite list for the Bridgestone

It is unfair to the people who deserve their chance. I shot -25 for the first two rounds while playing for fun so they could easily win it, considering im not the best of players.

Wow 1 player from the CC made it & it's little old me. Best get practicing. hey Dave as I know you're struggling with your ps4 swing i'm offering to play it for you I hit dead straight on ps4 @ 100% on pc I found it difficult my conclusion is the ps4 swing mechanics are not broken the two other systems must be

I'm sure it wasn't done deliberately. So long as these players are removed then I see no issue. They knew the t and c about the WGC invite as much as anyone else so just remove them is the answer

I say let them play. If they want to play in a much weaker field and try to beat up on lesser players, go for it. It's their loss. A top 10 in the WGC this week would be more rewarding in WGR than a win in that event would be.

Since there are no cuts give them till Saturday to play their rounds for the Bridgestone even if the 1st 2 aren't in by tomorrow. They don't belong in the Euro field.

I don't know of any rule that if a person has the opportunity to play in an event like the Masters or one of the Opens that they MUST either play it or sit out the week period. While most real golfers would never turn down the chance to play in a major, I still don't think there is any rule that they must accept or not play.

And the rule of common sense. What pro golfer is ever going to turn down a fat purse no cut tournament to go do... well... anything else? Tournament: "Here, we would like to hand you a bag of money. The better you finish, the bigger the bag. But you can't not get money". Golfer: "No, no... that's not for me... thanks though, I would much prefer to grind it out like I do every other week".
