I've begun construction on a version of Chicago Golf Club, which has been voted one of America's top 20 courses. It's a very interesting track... Large squared off greens. Should be interesting.

What theme? I was thinking harvest for this I've begun in Countryside, but I see where you are coming from. I might give Harvest a shot, see how it looks. I wish I could get more 3D pictures of the course. I have a nice over rendering from Golf magazine and Google Earth is really helpful, but I need more details on the grass and other plantings. |

Nice! Definitely interested in this.
If you would like a look at one interpretation of a Raynor/MacDonald course that has been done already, give Fishers Island - Fishers Island, NY a play. It might give you an idea of what features look good in the creator, and which ones need improvement. The course page on TGC Tours has a list of the hole templates if you want to reference them.

6 holes completed. Just the actual hole and the traps and tee boxes.
I've learned a lot so far. One big thing that I feel like an idiot about is that you don't have to spread a course out to all the edges of the given space. Duh.
Also, I don't know how anybody did this before the measuring tool. That thing is clutch for this sort of adventure.
