I guess we're all shell-shocked Orion from the beating we received at the hands of the evil Dr. Yeti! Anyway onwards and upwards let's hope for better things at Loa Pali. Not an easy course by any means and beware of killer winds for round 2.

Not happy overall my golf ball seemed to think it was on holiday, as it spent most of the time either on the beach or in the water.

Hey bogeyman, Have to agree with you that this is another tough one, not quite as tough as last week, but still a tester. Got 5 over at the end of the first 9 in round 1, but was able to maintain a bogey free back nine and got 4 of those strokes back by the end, so am standing at 1 over right now. Yea, I tee'd up for round 2 and was hit in the face with the 17 mph winds on the tee box, so round 2 will be the "windy", fun round I guess. Am going to be curious to see what they get up to once we go a little further into the match and get out near the ocean holes. Should be a "Blast"!
Best of luck to you and everyone else,

Kiwi,
I saw your name on the player selection screen for the course when I was deleting some of the players from my tournament round, I usually like to play alone during the tourney. Anyway M8, was going to put you in to play with, but saw the posted score and decided not to, though it might jinx me again (LOL), so hope you get the controller issues dialed in and get back to work next week. Take care and keep up the practicing and re-learning process, you'll get it dialed in again.

I managed to get to complete all my 4 rounds yesterday.
The first round was okay although i missed several putts. 70
On the 1st tee of the second round i saw 10mph winds. I have at admit I haven't had the game long and haven't played in winds anything like this so i was concerned. Managed to post a 79, again missing a few putts i should have holed.
The third round i think the winds on the first tee were 12 and i decided to think my way round and try to avoid making any doubles or worse. 74
The final round the winds were back to normal but by this time i felt like i'd gone 12 rounds with Mike Tyson back in the day. Again my putter let me down but i managed another 74.
Overall I have to be happy. I enjoyed the course but i think that the winds on the second round would have challenged the top players in this game.
Thanks to the guys at HB, TGH and everyone involved with this game. Thank you to the folks that keep creating great courses for us at no cost.

I know for a fact that my first shot on round 2 was into a 18 mph headwind. Now I haven't a clue what's going on.

Yeah sorry it was 18 my bad.
10 wouldn't have been a problem. I found 18 a bit too much

OK Sarintra. Thanks for clearing that up. The game at the moment seems pretty screwed up. I just went into the water at the drivable par 4 ninth and it dropped me 5 feet from the pin!! No problem guys! Just aim for the water!

No problem. There are a few issues with the game i agree.
Its good to know though that we have guys working behind the scenes trying to resolve the issues instead of that other golf game where they just don't give a damn.

Thank God that's over. Ugly wind, ugly round +13. I just don't understand anyone who says they enjoy playing in constant 17-18mph winds in all directions. Just not fun. Thankfully the first shot of the 3rd round was "only" in a crosswind of 11mph.

Hey Bogeyman,
Just take all of what I am about to say for what it is worth in your mind. First, your gamer-tag is emblematic of the 2nd round that I have just finished. Lots of these and some more of the higher value to throw into the mix. Secondly, this was one of the most magical, truly enlightening and most relaxing rounds in my entire time here since the very first Q-school. It just warms my heart and soul to proudly post the score that I have been so graciously honored to have shot. The fluidity and precision that I was able to obtain is definitely an educational experience and will add so much confidence to my game and my strategy as I continue on to round 3. I will deny saying what my final score was at the end of round 2, but suffice it to say that it is one of the most memorable scores that I have ever shot and I do not want to discourage/encourage anyone with the number. Will just have to wait until the scores are revealed next Wed. I believe.
Lastly, going forward, the simple fact that all of the Challenge Circuit players now play the same courses, with the same environmental conditions, demonstrates to me that the equality of all the different levels of player's abilities is a non-factor and that a caste system is becoming more and more evident. We have the Big Dogs at the top of the castle, the Kings as it were, the Noblemen, the merchants, and bringing up the bottom are us, the serfs. As the bottom feeders in this hierarchical pool, we take the same fields of battle and we fight it out within our own sea of woes. To look forward to being able to advance to an upper level has become a thing of the past (it is remotely there) and the only mobility I see is a constant travel between the very bottom and the level we are in at this current point in time. I was sure that there were going to be some strikes issued last week, but much to my surprise, none were issued in either CC-E or CC-Z. Z has a much smaller group of players and the numbers there do not support the strike system at this time. There were so many who did not play when registered or did not post any scores, it seems to throw off the strike count from currently happening within the E level. I do hope that this will not be the "NEW" problem that the Staff has to address to keep this kind of actions by a few to avoid the issuance of strikes. All in all, human nature once again finds a way around the established rules and regulations of "fair and balanced" play. All speculation on my part, but it does seem to be following that path from the last two weeks results. So remember, take all of this in with a grain of salt with my comments on how much I really enjoyed the tournament so far. (LOL) Hopefully the cross winds I saw at the beginning of round 3 (11 mph) will not be as tortious as round 2.

One thing to recover from my last post above. Not sure and don't think strikes are issued in CC-Z, as where can one be demoted to on that tour? Stupid mistake on my part. Sorry, my bad!!
