Just watched the HB stream with Anthony and Keith. Anthony said he would like to see a slope indicator like you have on the green in fairway or rough to show the slope. You would be able to turn this on off. This is still "would like to see" nothing planned just yet.
The reason that many larger greens only have limited grids is the cost to Frame Rate or FPS is huge. Anthony said a full green grid probably wouldn't happen but he said he was looking into the ability to have a temporary grid you can place over part of the green that has no slope and it will show you what the slope is. This also is in the "would like to see".
So while they aren't officially planned it is being looked at.
Ball physics with a lofted 3 iron being able to stop quicker than a 7iron is being looked at and constantly tweaked but it would be a big change to the overall physics.
There is no advancement on uphill/downhill lies adding/subtracting yardage from shots or affecting loft.
Multiple levels of water isn't the problem, it is the reflections of different levels of water that won't affect frame rate. They have a few ideas and are working at it.
Just a few of the things talked about.

This reminds me of most of the meetings i attend at work. "Yeah, these are all things we wanna do and are gonna do." But they never get done.

Anthony said he would like to see a slope indicator like you have on the green in fairway or rough to show the slope. You would be able to turn this on off. When I first read this I thought it would be great because one of my biggest problems is when to account for side-hill lies on fairways when taking aim at a green. While it would probably help for slight slopes that can be hard to read, my biggest frustration is having my character clear as day hunched over because the ball is sitting below/above his feet and then having him hit a perfectly straight shot as if it were on flat ground. It grinds my gears to no end. Sadly, the only time I ever know 100% to account for lies like that is when announcer man John makes some comment about it.

First two going in the wrong direction. Game needs less training wheels - not more. Most well designed greens should not need an additional grid anyway - 25x25yds is plenty big for a green,
And how is cutting two boxes of the shot-shaper altering physics? Does not make any sense as I thought the community consensus is that the ability to lift is overpowered - and the run out of a lofted 3I is just a consequence. So may be benficial to address the root cause...
Not too happy....
