I tend to play 2 rounds on Monday evening and 2 rounds on Tuesday evening. This may change once Monday Night Football starts.
This past week I had to play all 4 rounds on Monday (due to work travel). I would not recommend it, I noticed by the middle of the 4th round I was just playing to finish up.

Do you all turn off ghost balls during tournament play?
I turned it off for the first time this tourney and I feel that it actually improved my game.
1) pc performance seems to be affected slightly when other balls are in play
2) I don't feel the pressure to have to chase crazy shots from ghost balls.
I would think that ghost balls should be forced off by default for tournaments.

I leave them on. Makes it feel like I'm not playing alone. (In real tournaments, you have a partner out there.)

I turn them off...I have missed many a putt by having a ghost ball bounce right across my path while releasing the putt.

I play turn based with DaveyP, we talk rubbish and drink beer, I suspect it costs us a lot of shots, but its fun

No ghosts on for me not for tournaments anyway. Nothing more annoying than seeing a ball go over your line just as you are about to putt

Are you able to quit a tournament and play a practice round without the tourney progress bein lost? Cause I feel like practicing on a high wind course before I complete round 2 of Loa Pali (15-20 mph).

My "usual" tournament playing style:
-I usually start playing the tourney on Saturday evening, for the simple fact that "I can't wait any longer!" and have usually already put in a few practice rounds by then.
-If I'm doing good, I'll play all four rounds consecutively (I started round 4 at Loa Pali at about 3am Saturday evening/Sunday morning).
-If I'm not doing good, I'll stop playing and come back to it a day later. Unless I'm really frustrated and just want to get it over...Hoodoo anyone?!?!?!
-I play with ghosts. On fairway drives, it gives me a good idea both of the general landing spot (for the current wind) and the roll of the ball. For approach shots, it gives me a good idea of what direction and how far my approach shot will roll on the green, so I can choose where the landing spot should be. For putts, I can sometimes see how a ghost's putt is lined up and how it reacts to the slope of the green. I've also NEVER had a ghost ball "go over my line" as I'm about to putt, probably because it takes me forever and a minute to line up my putts before I even swing.

Played with your ghost ball this last tourney all 4 rounds.. You played well.. You are aggressive.. Somebody named TruDat was really aggressive,.. He went for the green on 16 with a crosswind.. I was next to him in the fairway thinking layup big time.. He went for it.. haha.. As his ball left I was like, No he didnt go for that.. He made it and had a great chance at eagle.. I watched from the fairway as his ball did not go into the hole.. I thought for sure he would make that putt..
