I took a voluntary because I just wasn't up for playing with the guys on the PGA tour, even though I "earned" a spot there from the Q-School. Now the ourneys have been broken up again and I wound up in the Challenge A flight. Well this week I "earned" my second demotion strike, even though I played a very repectful at least to me -22 under par. Well If that doesn't keep me in the top 70 I minds as well take a demotion and step down now, as much as I like the courses in Flight A I'm obviously not competitive enough to stay here. BTW whats the difference in Flight B as far as getting demotions there ?

I'm hoping there is a flight lower than CC-Z...maybe then I'll be competitive.

I think most weeks the -22 would have kept a U.S. In the top 70. The demotion criteria for CC-B is the same: top 70. -22 would have landed you around 58th on CC-B. I should be getting my second strike this week so I'm sure to be in CC-B soon.

With the 95% forcing me to switch to left stick, and a new job cutting into my real and virtual golf, im no where near my abilities of a month or two ago. My handicap has dropped from +7 to +.8 in that short of a time. In afraid i may need to drop in the next couple weeks until i get lined out left thumbed. How does the process work?

Here it is from the Official rules and regs:
Demotions on the Challenge Circuit
Demotions on the Challenge Circuit will utilize a three strike system. If you finish outside the Top 70 in your flight for an event (and you played all 4 rounds), you will be assessed a strike.
After three strikes, you may be demoted to the flight below and your strike count will be reset to zero.
Any time you finish in the Top 30 in an event on your flight, your strike count is reset to zero.

As this imply allows people to no submit their R4 score to avoid demotion.Demotions on Challenge Circuit

If you get demoted from CC-Z you go into CC-IRL.

The way things are going that just may happen. Plus now I can't even play until I get the updated swing, and from what I'm hearing it takes a bit to get used to it.Yes another 5 or 6 hours and I'll have the update.

Loving the scoreboard in your signature Andy (just thought I'd mention that too!). Might have to get me one of those.

Thanks. Here's a link to the blank version if anyone is interested in using it or even if they just want to use it as a template to create their own. TGC Tours Record
