Tough course. Lots of out of bounds in centre

I am far from a pro at this game and am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a great tour set up. However, I will be withdrawing from my 3rd round at Hoodoo Hills. Sitting at -3 after 3 holes, I hit a ball 6 inches off the fairway and into the light rough and it was deemed out of bounds. My ball bounced twice in the fairway and come to rest a fraction into the LIGHT rough. I have too busy of a life to put in the time needed to play these events and then have this kind of stuff happen. I ask that the tour course selection committee looks into finding reasonable courses where good shots are not penalized, as many members are so grateful for this tour that we are willing to put a lot of time into these events because of having such a great avenue to compete on. This weeks selection would be great without some of the out of bounds being set up ON THE COURSE. Slight modifications would make this is a far better course, as well as having some of the out of bounds better marked. Reality is, there is no such thing as IN COURSE out of bounds. All out of bounds locations on legit courses mark a change of property, eliminating danger from players playing down the wrong hole on purpose, roads or streets along a hole, or protecting people from injury such as making a putting green or range area out of bounds. This course has too many flaws with out of bounds being unmarked and in areas that no legitimate course would ever feature. It's too bad.
Best of luck to all that will be competing this week.

Quite a few folks are displeased with this course. I know it was designed to be a PGA or Euro tour stop, so that's why it's so hard. I almost withdrew myself but pushed through since I suck anyway.

To be fair also, when I lived out west we had courses with OB in the course like the gulch on 10. Usually they were dens for rattlesnakes and other nasties so they kept people out of there for their own safety.

I made the decision to complete the event. I will be more cautious with my time in the future if we are going to be playing courses that penalize good shots.

What I will be sure to do in the future is make sure I am not wasting my time. Played as hard as I could the first 2 rounds for my ability right now and was okay with those scores. Round 3? A total joke. Round 4? Didn't event aim. Shame that so many people will put in so many hours and to play a course as legitimate as our local mini golf track.

Completed it after a day away, happy I didn't get a three figure round. Three out of bounds on 17 on the fourth almost cost me that record.

In my experience a line of little white painted sticks had the complete opposite effect to "keeping me out of there" Same can be said for: Water Sand Bushes Trees Car Parks

I really have to say that this tourney-tournament was "seriously-fun" to me genuiely, probably first time ever during the time I've been playing in TGCTours.com (well, granted I've missed registration now twice accidentally, and once I was on vacation, so I'm not familar with those missed-courses). Probably the main reason for having fun was because the course(s) actually functioned according to up-todate-mechanics of the game which unfortunately won't auto-update to old-old-courses which for the most part have gone remastered (I.E. inclusion of out-of-bounds, "non-existing-slopes on greens according to "new ball"-physics, etc.). Most importantly the varied pin / cup-placements between rounds certainly made things refressing. But even more importantly there has been some serious actual thinking done with the placements instead of just trying to as (player-beating) "clever" as possible ("way-past-before-overly-twisted-spiral-pasta-macarony"-placements, as I recall nicknaming them); for the most part the pin-placements actually followed various real-life tournament (organization) recommendation! Kudos to course designer(s) and builder(s) for all the efford(s) of making this tournamet-tourney possible! I really did bomb / goofed the 4th-round, but not because of the course; it was genueily due my own mis-calculations (mainly by trying to play far too cautiously). Also I did have some good throwbacks to (I think) Wolf Creek Golf Club from PGA-Tour-Online / Masters 12 (PC) (especially on that hole on which you drive over the O.B.-hill). Also, here a image of Konata to express my current face:
