Bud only thing I can think is HB, 2K using this to filter real course that they have been contacted by to blackout their names. So San Miguel GC could be the offending banned words as this is real course. Otherwise its a crazy thought which would be worrying trend if the case would HB, 2k use location names banning. If this the case where does that leave those who design real courses or do lidar courses. I only done one real course purgatory I was nervous if they pulled it from database or I got legal action lawsuit. So decided stay clear real courses not just because its damn hard work too, mind it was prior lidar. The course was totally out of my imagination and the real course mat be called San Miguel GC but it wouldn’t have Playa de in front of it, they should look at the full name and work out the context. Profanity filters won't do it individually. Certain words will be filtered, for whatever reason (swear words in another language, legal issues etc) and the game censors that string of letters. For example, whilst you won't be able to ever design a golf course named after the town of Scunthorpe, there's an understandable reason - imagine if you capitalised certain letters.

I still struggle to see what the offensive "word" would be in Playa de San Miguel GC. It literally translates to Beach of Saint Michael. Even if you break each word down there's nothing that stands out as far as I've noticed.

Possibly something to do with the San Miguel beer. Possible that the M can be used to get around the ban on the N-word. Possible that HB messed up.

What irritates me is it was allowed in 2K21 but not 2K23

I do wish HB released what not acceptable. We know of augusta what else is banned.

EA is going to have Los Angeles (LA) Country Club in their upcoming game, since it's hosting the US Open this year. 2K/HB are probably being extra careful as to not get tangled in any legal webs with courses in this game.

Hi Stefano,
we currently don't accept 9 hole courses to the database.

That is indeed true - a mistake on my end.
I have re-reviewed your course, and it's still Not Approved. This is due to general lack of care with sculpting (fairways, bunkers, internal green contouring), playability issues with the hole designs (10 yard wide fairways in spots), the generally unrealistic nature of the routing with no discernible way to get from one hole to another (or from tee to green) and what looks like autogen planting left in place.
I see that you average about one course each week in the database for the last month. I must really urge you to take more time with your courses and put some more heart and soul into them. Most courses take on average 2-3 months to complete - after all, there is a reason for why our design contests have a three month design window.
If you play some of the courses published for this game, such as Old Wickham Heath, Orion Ranch and Calamity Bay CC, you will see the time the designers put into their courses, and what a labour of love it is.

Ok. just have to say then there is nothing autogene in this course, but i create all from nothing. I dont think then i make fairway with 10 yard (maybe only enter of green). i can make this in few week becouse in last mouth i dont work and have many free time. So, i accepted yor decision and I know then improve.sure then green , fairway sculpting can be better , but you say then it doesn't make sense without a connected form hole to hole but for me its no true. I make hole around a city in logic order for me. However thanks for answer me and explain motive for not accepted.

Hello,
I received the rejection email for Powder Island Golf Resort about 40 minutes ago and I would love some feedback so I can continue to improve my designs in the future. Thank you!
