Can someone comment on the career mode? Do you start in Q School? How in depth is it?

Can someone comment on the career mode? Do you start in Q School? How in depth is it? Compared to what it was before its very simple, in every aspect. No Q-School. You start playing the Web.com finals to get your pga card.

how about the gameplay? is it worth getting? I am genuine curious as I only started playing make belief golf with TW14 and while compared to the golf club its not much to write home about but some of my more arcade loving friends yeah you know the kind oh i need to get some backspin on that maybe a little to the left i start hittin X mid flight and i cannot putt on tgc without putt preview because i hammer the ball 110 yards past the hole.most of my friends like it like that well they also think dirt3 is better than wrc4 so what you going to do but to the point if someone could elaborate if its any good or should i stick to tw14 for these rare moments(I dont try to give any1 the impression that im elite or anything but personally I enjoy tgc more my friends used to enjoy the ea golf more and oh yeah how is it online, without online tourneys it just wouldn't appeal to me sorry about the long question(z).

I just traded in some games and bought it.. even though i told myself I wouldn't... I'll try most of the modes and see how they are today.

quick first impressions..
I like it.. the tutorial beginning was a nice touch.. The 'Prologue' you had to play (it seems that way) was interesting.. but after i was done, i only had 2 options.. play round, and do the prologue again... I 'failed' it the first try by losing to Kaymer, so I thought you had to win. Halfway through it again, unskippable cutscenes and all, i paused and could finally go play something else.
Made my Tour Pro, took Power hitter, like a 60ish overall.. and could drive it 260 or so.. Played the Web.com event, and it only let me play 5 holes.. I played through it all until i found the option to let me play the whole tournament, and not just 'key holes'
Now in my first PGA tournament, I am enjoying the game.. Customized the difficulty how i like it, and I find it fun. I'm sure after a handful of rounds, the lack of courses will come in to play.

how do you get to tour pro mode
my thoughts on the game are pretty much like most others it is at the moment very shallow also again and not at all surprised EA lack of communication to many of the questions asked
I still much prefer TGC

I am bored with it already, far too easy even on tour pro. No roll on the green, land by the flag and it stops within a yard or two. With TGC you have to really think about where you land on the green and take the slopes into consideration. Allan.

I have been leaning slightly against getting, but being a customer every year since the 2003 version, I have my eye on it. This is another perspective to take into account as I gave up the arcade modes years back.

Played Pga Tour 15. Huge disappointment. Only really play for online tournaments, but game play when compared to TGC is not even close. Realism of when ball lands is missing. Only aspect I do like, is that you have option to speed up game play ater u hit ball.

Like a great many others I only bought TGC as a filler waiting for the big one to come out. I absolutely loved TW14 and pre-ordered RM15 as soon as I could. Well biggest disappointment ever and a total waste of $100. They've gone backwards big time imo and got rid of a lot of the good things from TW14. Why fix it if it ain't broke?? I can't believe that there is no option to zoom up and have a look around before you take your shot! Big turn off for me that one. Sorry had to have this rant 'cos I'm still smarting from dropping the $100

TW14 ( tour pro difficulty * ) & NHL14 were my fav. games on the 360. Their next gen debuts are very week as most of the content what made them good is missing. ( RM- no country clubs, NHL- no online leagues - just to name 2 ) With NHL16 EA listened to their public and introduced the missing content back so hopefully they do that with the next RM. * there was 5 difficulties - amauter ( add spin mid flight ) , rookie , tour pro ( tgc standerd ) , tour & simulation. This is EA we're talking about. They're ready to milk loyal players dry with DLC that will add on what used to be included in the game for free.
