Due to the issues with the Left-Stick swing on the XB1 we will be turning on the Withdraw button this week for XB1 users only (to avoid having to play on the wrong stick to avoid a DQ/WD). Should be active by the end of the day.

Good on the staff here, but a sad, sad turn of events.

Will those who play on XB1 that are playing on an exemption for the week get another exemption if they choose to go this route? I play PS4, but for what it is worth, I think they deserve another shot as this is out of their hands.

Well since there are only like 43 players in the PGA event, I will just play using the right stick. Don't want to miss out on earnings or rankings. Sucks for those in the The Open though.

Is it possible if I withdraw because of this that I can renter and use ps4. Been playing on ps4 a few rounds and it feels better now that the 92-95% shots are fixed

I'm still going to give this weeks CC-C tournament a go. I'm left-handed and a left stick user but I don't see any reason why using the right stick will be all that different (I guess I'll find out in about 30 mins when I practice Hoodoo Hills).
If anyone does withdraw then that's their prerogative and I would totally understand as this is the mother of all cock ups. However, we really do need to remember that it is only a video game after all. We'll all be dead one day when none of this will matter so lets enjoy it whilst we can.

Not sure what the left stick issue is but pretty sure the new update wrecked the right stick for xb1 too. I've been thru courses, occasions, where this 95% bug comes out but never this frequent. And university links was fine yesterday, but post update... 9/10 full swings are hit exactly 95%.

Well I take back what I said, though it's not the issue of using the right stick so much (can't say I like it however) but the ridiculous amount of 95% shots I'm now encountering. That really does take the fun out of the game. I said it in another thread earlier but they should rename these 'updates' as downdates as they do nothing but make games worse nowadays. It's literally one step forward and two steps back. Pretty poor to say the least

Well, I switched over to right stick to start practicing for next week, and it definitely messes with my game, but not as bad as I thought. I won't stand a chance next week as far as winning goes, but hopefully I'll be better and maybe pull a top-20.
One of the best parts of changing over to right stick, is I'm not used to aiming with the left stick, so on a 5-foot putt, i tried to aim using the right stick...instead I ended up hitting the putt 5 inches.
If that happens in a tournament, I might use a curse word.

If you have finished this week's tournament, you don't need to withdraw this week. As far as next week, you are always free to withdraw and re-register on a new platform provided the Friday registration deadline hasn't passed.
