Hb's xbox patch just made the game unplayable for left stickers on xbox, so the cut just went higher due to inflated numbers dnf's. So -9 should piss it in......

What should've been one of the highlights of the year and something I've personally grafted for to qualify has significantly lost its shine. Course indecision, update confusion, incorrect par settings, api stat confusion and now Xbox stick inversion. How much is EA Rory?

Well if you want to play more than 9 courses and buy the DCL's, you'll pay over $100 eventually. So…enjoy it.

-9 going to make the cut? Hope so...because that was my mediocre score after 2 rounds. Was -8 after 10 holes...then I blew it! Right there with ya. I thinking it will be ok

The point I'm making is that both HB and TGCT couldn't have chosen a worse time to "drop the ball"..... A couple things you have to remember when updating consoles, they aren't like PCs. Every game, regardless of how big or small the company is, will have bugs. So when they update the game, they usually choose the PC first. There is a couple of reasons for this. They are able to patch and send out the update immediately. If there are any fixes that are needing to fix, they can patch and push out those fixes immediately as well but having the players simply upload the new patch. For consoles there is a process that HB has to go through, getting the okay from both Sony and Microsoft who can take weeks to agree to push through an update, thus if something does go wrong, in this case the inverted left swing, it can take a week plus to fix cause they have to fix it first, then go through the process of getting Sony or Microsoft to approve and push through the update. I have heard it described as more red tape than the US Government. All things considered, I think HB has done a fantastic job considering the size of company that they are, the price they were able to charge for the game and the ability to allow people from around the world to create gorgeous new courses and publish them so we can play them almost instantaneously as they are published. Other games like Rory and the old Tiger golf, you got a select few courses and then you have to pay for each additional course(s). The fact we get hundreds and thousands of courses for free I think is a great deal. Does the game have issues? Yes, but I have to applaud HB for getting involved in our little community by providing our admin with an API to help our tournaments be a little more special. HB truly is a company that reads, listens to and responds to the communities concern. Just remember, because they aren't a mega giant like Sony, EA, Microsoft, ect. they have to prioritize fixes, new content, updates and all sorts of things as the amount of employees they have working is limited. I suppose they could hire another 30 people but they would have to pass that expense down to us, the customer. I for one, am glad they have not.

Round four is definitely difficult. Some very tough pin positions, tucked behind bunkers with a downslope heading towards and well beyond the hole. My goal was to limit the bogeys. This is a lot tougher than stated because the greens are as fast as they can be and your putting needs to be spot on, lest you find yourself flying by the hole 20 feet.
Sadly I bogeyed #1 after landing nicely on the top tier my put barely missed the hole and then kept going... rolling down the hill and leaving me a 40 foot putt coming back. On #2 I hit the front bunker and played a nice shot that landed just on the fringe but the ball then rolled down the hill 15 feet beyond the hole on a severe slope. I managed to make a heck of a par save there. I made a few of those nice putts and only missed one birdie putt I should have had from four feet. Managed to avoid bogeys on #16 and #17, both tough holes and made a great birdie on 18 for -8.
Total -10, -3, -10, -8 = -31
Not a winning score but I'm really hoping for a good top 15 spot.

Is the universal wind in effect now? Xbox update is out but I haven't seen much talk about the wind.

So I guess I can look forward to some windy rounds since I've yet to begin.
Small price to pay if they actually leave it on for more than a week this time.

Blew up on round 2. Started with 6 straight birdies, ended up only shooting -4. Ball squirt was the key to my demise. Hopefully -10 will make cut.
