Round three was better for me than all other 3 rounds combined, aided by not one but two holeouts from 160+ yard out

First round was both frustrating and rewarding. For PC, our first round was medium firmness. I wasn't intending to shoot my first day until Sunday or Monday but after playing a couple of rounds with HB_Keith, Bradley Cooper and Fuzion, I felt I was playing well enough to give it a go. If I didn't shoot well I'd hold off on round 2. Started the round off with a bogey after driving into the rough. I managed to birdie the next 3 holes as the wind started gusting to up to 10mph. I was -2 after 4 and there was a person on the leader board already -5 through 5 and I was feeling a bit dejected...then it happened. My second shot on the par 5 #5 hit about a foot over the bunker, in the heavy rough, rolled up to the cup an in. My first albatross ever and it came in a live tournament, in a major no less! I was back in the game and feeling good. I played fairly well the rest of the round, leaving a few shots on the course, but was putting well and I did bogey #18 (something I seem to do a lot) and finished the round with a 60(-10) Decided to play round two. The winds had slacked a little bit and were 4-8mph for most of the round with the hard firmness. My goal was to just play under par if I could and minimize bogeys. It wasn't a spectacular round and I scrambled for many par saves as my ball rolled off the green on my approach shot. I had 4 chip ins (2 for par saves) and four putts, that had no breaklines, but I viewed them and knew the ball was rolling left on all of them. Missed each of those birdie putts with lip outs. Aside from that and a bogey on the difficult #17 I finished 67 (-3). A bit disappointing with all the short birdie opportunities I had, but I exceeded my personal goal. Round three the winds jumped up to 8-14mph. I was still shooting well and to my surprise played very well in the higher winds. Several holes my approach shot was between a 5 wood and a 3 iron and I was successfully able to execute a couple 95% 5 woods to roll up close and make birdie. I was able to pitch in another 2 or 3 for birdie and that is always good. Another disappointing bogey at 18 left me with another 60 (-10). By this time it was late and i was tired so I called it a night. In the end -23 through three and I'm very happy with my score. I have no idea how it will stack up with others as I have seen people shoot lights out on days 1 and 3 with scores of -14 and on day two with scores of -8. Going to try and get to round four on Monday. BTW here is the score card with the albatross. I tried to get a replay of it, but when I went back to view the shot, the game shows that I made the shot with my score changing from -2 to -5 but the actual shot hits the pin and shows it about 3 inches from the pin. An odd bug that has to do with rendering according to HB. Either way it is in the Instant Replays. Attachments:

Well, I was sitting pretty through two rounds. Eagled my first hole of the tourney on the firm day 1 for a nice start. I went 64, 60 to sit at -16 through 2 rounds. Round 3 was a DISASTER. I couldn't make a putt to save my life. I missed everything and just wasn't getting close at all. I made 3 birdies and 1 bogey to shoot a disappointing 68 to be at -18. Round 4 was awesome to start out. Eagled 5 and was -6 through 6 holes to make a charge. I got all the way to -9 through 12 I believe and then missed a 5 footer for birdie on 13 to get to -10. That seemed to send me spiraling down. I bogeyed 14, and then made a bad double on 17. That Sunday pin on 17 just wasn't fair, way too close to a slope that would send you down to the fringe and frankly that part of the green was meant to be a run-in for the Thursday pin. I parred 18 to shoot the most disappointing 64 possible. I finished up at -24 for the tourney. It leads on ps4 but a certain someone is going to kill that score and I know of a few guys that have it beat on Xbox and maybe 1 on PC so far. In the end, it'll probably be a borderline top 10 which I'm fine with. I probably should've relaxed and taken a break after being -16 thru 2 rounds but I thought I was in a groove. Guess not. My winds were typically in the 7-10 mph range for all 4 rounds, but they got up around 12 for a good bit of rounds 2 and 4. Awesome course. I wish he had a little more time to get better pins on a couple holes but I know he was rushed. It's a phenomenal course otherwise and I enjoyed it. Felt like I really could've had the chance to win this week but I let myself down on the 3rd round and late in round 4. good luck to all!

Was really angry with myself this week after saying all week i would definately play one round at a time this week but once again i got too carried away and was buzzing too much after a super first round and i played all 4. So round 1 in the toughest conditions, managed to pull a -10 out of nowhere, jumped around the house for a few minutes and a decision made my adrenaline lead me to round 2 and after shooting -13 in my only ever round here i was feeling good, then it got windy and i struggled coming home in a dissapointing -5. Then i decided to play the final 2 rounds without any practice and shot -6 then -4 to finish in a pretty good -25 (at the time i was fuming) But having time to reflect and see what others are shooting i am generally happy. Never missed so many fairways and had so many tough putts but was all good fun.

Was rushed to do all 4 rds this evening as I'm moving Wednesday/Thursday and have bunch of packing to do and will be disconnecting internet soon. Not a course you can rush on and expect decent scores, so trying to not be disappointed in my performance. -5, -3, E, -4, -12 total. Pay attention to changes in firmness and green speed! (I learned the hard way). Will be only my second or third finish outside top 25 since I started here on TGCT back in April, including 6th at US Open, so still proud of that. Anyways, time to pack this place up! Good luck to everyone this week!

I had an interesting one
59-69-70-65 - 17 under total
Round 1 - was lots of fun. Some amazing birds, topped by parachuting a 5 wood into the final green and making a 13 footer to break 60. Was in trouble 3 or 4 times and saved par a few times too.
Round 2 - First 6 holes were bitterly unlucky. Ended up plugged in 2 bunkers by an inch and shaved the edge from 10 feet or less 4 times. Went from +2 through 6 to -2 through 17 but bogied the last. But was reasonably satisfied. Nothing was dropping and i ground it out
Round 3 - This was where it all went to hell. Started ok, -2 through 3, then missed a straight putt @ 4. Fairway bunker @ 5 and instead of playing it safe i tried to be a hero and went from bunker to bunker to bunker. Ended up with a 6 and then parred No 6 thanks to a 93% flop. Back 9 was littered with mistakes too and ended up Even Par.
Round 4 - Was angry at this point so played the final round in 12-18mph winds. And did so very well scoring -5
Annoyed overall as i see a lot of people around the -20 mark and i should have beaten all of them had i just shot a reasonable 3rd round. Hoping for a Top 25 but not holding my breath

I did not qualify for The Open this week, but I played anyways. -5, -5, -1, +4 = -7 overall. First round I was aided by an extremely hot putter, making birdies I thought I wouldn't and a ton of Par saves that had no business going in. Then in round 2 I couldn't adjust to the softness of the greens in the rain, kept hitting approach shots short expecting them to run but they never did. shot well but could've been WAY lower. I encountered really high winds my final two rounds and my putter got cold as well so I stumbled into a -7. I will be curious to see where I would have finished.

at least this didnt derail your first round:
was -4 through the first 4 holes.......and ended up finishing at -4 thanks to the nasty attitude that shot gave me.

I have been in a hell of a funk for about a month now. Shot an opening round 71 and came back with a 60. Will -9 make the cut...maybe. My confidence driving has gone to pot as I have left hooking a lot of shots but round 2 has improved some as I think I just need to slow my tempo down. I can't help think about it every time I'm on the tee

How I am ranked in the Top 25 is beyond me. The way I have been playing I should be outside the Top 100. If the world golf rankings hadn't changed a couple times I'm sure I might be but I know it stabilized after about 10-15 tourneys. Not very confident in my game playing right now
