Playing on the challenge circuit is pretty much like being an amateur trying to play your way on to the professional tour. So would it not be a good idea to have a amateur championships, or majors that only challenge circuit members could take part in. Maybe even the winner of each could be awarded a place in the next pro major. Maybe these could be the four amateur majors:
US Amateur Championship British Amateur Championship Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship Latin America Amateur Championship

I really like this idea. Until you "make money" on one of the pro tours, you are eligible.

I really like this idea. Until you "make money" on one of the pro tours, you are eligible. Kinda leaves the tweeners who skirt between CC-A and get a Web.com exemption here and there, but don't get the one (or even zero) exemption per week out of 5+ out in the cold. Almost every CC player "earned" money and have earnings from Web A,B,C and Champ A,B. Otherwise I think it's a decent idea. I'm most interested in a Web.com / CC event at the end of the year like Q school where so many can be promoted or demoted. Tie one Amateur major to an exemption in a corresponding Pro Major. U.S. Am to U.S. Open. UK Amateur to The Open, etc. Just my pennies in the bucket, here.

If you are playing on a sponsors exemption you should not be able to earn money either. Therefore unless you have a tour card, you are still eligible to play in the amateur majors.
