Check out the staff reviews for "Twin Lakes" & "Maple Villa" ..........
Whose reviewing the reviewers.....
Surely an identical review should get an identical rating?

While the reviews of two courses may share the same pro/cons, the "feel" of the courses may vary. Thus resulting in a variance of the overall rating.

The exact same pro's & cons to the letter.. (oh! sorry he / she corrected their typing error made on Maple Villa)..... More likely just copy 'n pasted without any real thought.

I couldn't find Jason's course.. I thought I had (2nd one that appears in a search for "Twin Lakes," & the only one with the correct yardage), but after playing 4 holes it was nothing like his pictures in the review... It was very flat and pretty boring, not a patch on Maple Villa.
Has it got a slightly different name?
Could you point out which one it is in the list.
I'd love to play it & see if I can work out the differences or "feel" ...
Maybe 3 or 4 members would play both & give their "honest" opinions?

www.tgctours.com/Course/Details/1178The island green picture matches the picture on the course you mentioned. This is a quote from a post I wrote a few days ago concerning course reviews: Oct 24, 2014 12:39:50 GMT -4 MAJOR HIGH said: We received 26 course submissions for the week of 10/13 - 10/19, so it can be a bit daunting at times. It's also important to remember that we have jobs, kids, families, and other obligations. We do the best we can and we appreciate the patience that you guys have with the process.

Wow!! Just - Wow!!!
So that is the right course I was playing?
I totally understand that the people helping run the site have lives away from TGC Tours, but that doesn't alter the fact that the original review was "a token effort" & then to just copy n' paste it across to a vastly different course with a totally different "feel" undermines their affiliation & the responsibilities handed to them.
I realise I've probably done myself no favours when it comes to having future courses reviewed & rated, but I feel a lot better having said my piece.

We welcome your concerns, opinions, and thoughts and nothing you say will cause us prejudice against any of your future course submissions. We're in the process of improving the way we review courses so that we maintain a level of consistency and thoroughness. We're a young site and we're going to make mistakes, but we're going to continue to strive for improvement and hope that we can become the preeminent leader for Tours and Course Reviews associated with The Golf Club.

Thank you Major, for realising my concerns for what they were & your apology of sorts.
Best regards,
Sam.
