Goodluck! I think you will find the master club is the easy to go. Takes a little getting used to but with it in the end.

Hey everyone. I’m David from Calgary (originally Vancouver). Purchased the game Jan ‘19 after a long self imposed ban of game consoles. I had been in madden leagues since PS2 and I was done. But I have always excelled at video golf( I play for real but with far less success used to be a 8 but I am a former club member at Heritage Pointe just south of Calgary. Now I pretty much suck. 51 with rotator cuff issues on both sides. Like all good Canadians I golf left handed for real and TGC) I am a father of two boys who love gaming. Last Xmas my oldest was home from school and badgered me relentlessly until I got this game and eventually bought it in the PS store and downloaded it onto my younger ones PS4. Which explains the laladiesman. That is my 15 year old. Now I have started designing which is why I joined the board (been visiting for a year though). I am going to have to get it on PC if I have any success at the design side. I plan on Q school but other than play testing my course I have played a round in 5 weeks now. I’m not sure the TGC hcp means anything but I float between -20 and -40. Played hundreds and hundreds of courses and I am hooked.

[ PS Fav original courses Susquehannock Major and my favourite rcr is Magnolia. Maybe the old course. Old school. There are so many great ones as well. Love Rasputin, Royal Atlantic and pelikila from the hb official list. Also really dig steamshovel, Chicago golf club?, and one of the rcr’s of harbour town that is super tight and you need to shape every which way.

Thank you I had a few rounds last night, and I didn't find it too much different to Pro Clubs. I might be in the minority there? I tried a couple of other online society tournaments just to see how I competed and I'm definitely in the 'average' category but having looked around this community and seeing the depth of it, it's got me really excited to get involved. I wish I'd joined this week's now!

Good luck to both of you when you get started! I remember actual nerves when I teed these rounds up to begin with! Even 4 years later they still give me a buzz. No gaming site like it

No gaming site like it I registered online through the website and it suggested that you can't change. It might work out for the best as I can get a couple of practice rounds in on the course over the weekend

Hmmm ... I don't guess I ever did this last year when I signed on as a TGCTourer, so here we go. As my moniker suggests I'm Bob Cipnic and I originally hail from New Orleans, LA, USA, now settled in Austin TX. I'm a young 61, married 30 years, and once upon a time played the game IRL. Unfortunately, budget & back issues combined to mostly put an end to that in my early 50s. Golf stuff .... I've played Munis & Country Clubs, and mostly prefer the former. I was a duffer, mostly hovering around 90 on a decent day, and occasionally made up some shots with a mean putting stroke, honed by years of Putt Putt as a kid. I would say I've been playing digital golf since 1989, when I discovered the Jack Nicklaus series. I MUCH prefer the 3-click method, but XBox is my platform, as I just cant see buying a PC to game on, when my 10-year old laptop does all my web & music stuff just fine. I tried Rory's game, but the course designer is my thing so I jumped when I found a used copy of TGC cheap at GameStop. I actually used to design courses on grid paper as a kid and (I forget exactly how) do some sort of sim round. I 'simmed' all sorts of sports with dice & card decks as a kid, I was kind of an introvert. My great-grandfather JG Macdonald was an Olympic athlete for Canada in 1908, and I have a picture of him with the Canadian National Golf Team from that time as well. Non-golf stuff ... I work retail part-time these days ; I am a guitarist, write some songs and even have some YouTube clips on my channel, but mostly just use it as a time-killer. For buffs, I play a '76 Tele Deluxe I bought when I was but 19 ! Still all original hardware except the damn jack ... I tended to step on cords, LOL. My only other real gaming efforts are SimCity type games (once again, my old PC doesn't like the new Steam version, I still run SC4 from time to time on it, so it's 'Cities Skylines' on the XBox. I only wish it had a Golf course to plop, damn it !! Please look for me in the TGCTours CC-Am leaderboards - just not in the first 15 pages or so, LOL, and maybe try a round on one of my courses, especially if you, too are an XBoxer - I need some ghosts for fantasy match play ! Most recent are "Lake Parr" & "Dormie City", but the "Meadows Course" got a nice review from fellow TGCTer laladiesman, so may it's the one to try. If so, watch for the snakes in the weeds, that fence is there for a reason

Hey everyone. I’m David from Calgary (originally Vancouver).
Good to have 'met' you, David ! I've visited Vancouver twice, actually stayed there four nights in maybe 2010. Saw a neat CCR cover band across the river from Stanley Park.

Hi guys,
I’m Alex or ‘AlKatter85’ and I’m playing the game via the PS4.
I’ve had the game for a year but only recently discovered TGC and all the other fantastic elements within the game. It’s 100% keeping my mind occupied through lockdown!
I’m more into RCR than creating my own courses but you never know. My first attempt of trying to replicate was St Enodoc (Church Course) where I play regularly but made some mistakes! I have learnt a lot and my second attempt which is my home course in Hertfordshire Porters Park is imminent.
I love the online societies and have set up Gravity Tours UK for me and some of my golfing buddies which is just brilliant. The LIDAR data fascinates me and would love to see every ‘Top 100 Course’ added, I’ve got my ears to the ground and there are some more coming from designers such as Yeltzman.
Anyway I love the game, love the new community I’m becoming part of but most importantly I LOVE golf!

Not new, just not been around since the TGC1 days - old Euro head in the heady days of controversy. Did Q School last week with Pro Clubs, now using Master Clubs. Looking forward to getting stuck in, and yes Doyley I've calmed down now, I still have the old PMs
