Distance markers in the middle of fairways?
I personally am not a fan of these and am seeing more and more of this in new courses. I know it is up to the designer but if I am playing a round and my ball ends up behind these I would not be happy. Why can't these be placed 1 or 2 yards off the fairway in the rough?
I would like to hear other people's opinions on this.

I like them in the middle but for practical reasons I don't think they should be in the game as you can't exactly pick then up and move them!

I hadn't hit one in awhile but when it happened I was left with no clear shot. My approach shot ricocheted 30 yards behind me. Not a fan.

I hate the off to the side look because you can't really see them and even though there is a small chance of hitting them in the middle of the fairway, if it happens even once to someone, then it's happened one too many times. I'm all for realism, but I would appreciate if HB made this an object that could be passed through.

I am working on a few courses and have only used distance markers once because it fitted the course - then on the side which to me is most natural. The best news would be if HB in a future update would include proper flat round fairway markers. Many European courses have pole markers on the side, so for me it can work fine - even if they can be mistaken for OB markes sometimes. By the way, I have never seen poles in the middle of the fairway on any course - can anyone tell me if it is common somewhere or just here in the game?

Poles in the middle of fairways are very common on the courses I play. They are usually black and white striped and 150 yards from the center of the green.
