I'm hearing some rumbles on social media and other places that us removing the cuts on the CC tour is a step backwards. I thought it was a good idea to promote play. What do you guys think?
Do all but the bottom CC flight need to play with cuts?

No cuts, promotes play, player miss cut by 1 or few shots then they have missed out, dispondent, and doesnt make you feel good

Leave the cuts for when it starts getting serious in the web.com tour.

Either way works in my opinion. I enjoyed having cuts previously, gave me something to fight towards when I first started out playing. But I can definitely understand where you want to promote more play.
I admittedly haven't looked much into how the points are being distributed, but maybe the second half of the field should make the cut but receive a hefty cut on the points received? Maybe it's like that already and I should do some research before posting?

I started out in the Champions tour where there were no cuts. I didn't like that to much. I like to play with a goal and winning the tourney is the toughest goal. I wanted to get up to Web tour just for that reason. I have never missed a cut and my goal is to keep it that way. It gives me something to play for since it is so tough to win a tourney.

Tim,
I agree that there shouldnt be cuts but we have over 200+ guys in a few of these CCs and if I'm back in 195, it kind is just as demoralizing as getting cut.
Sometimes you just have to stop the bleeding.

Generally speaking, no cuts. But, since all CC are playing the same courses, I could see cuts being a "phased in" item once you get up to the CC-A level. Look, there are some Big Dog players in the upper levels of the CC both in A and B. I am and will be concerned with all of us playing the same courses. Cuts in CC-A make sense to me only in the fact that they are preparing those guys for the Web tour. Cuts down in my level, CC-E, will just discourage some when we start to see some of the harder courses and that, IMHO, is going to be an open flood gate to over populate the CC-Z group with some better players who just by missing a cut on a bad week golfing wise, and that will start an up-roar again like we have just left behind. Because of the 3 strike rule, I could see cuts being another situation that will fill up the lower levels with generally better plays who strike out because of missing cuts.

The question is how do you expect to do cuts when there is a master leaderboard for all circuits?

I would suggest an incremental increase in the cut lines as players progress. Right now PGA, Euro, and Web are about 70/150 or 46%. I would suggest A has the same ratio. Then: - B: 50%
- C: 60%
- D: 70%
- E: 80%
- Z: 100%

Challenge Circuit players shouldn't have to worry about making a cut on that level, let them play and have some fun. They can worry about making cuts when they start getting paid TGCT money

Is there a way you could have four "majors" for the CC tour where a cut would apply? That way guys have a few tournaments where the "pressure's on". Maybe the winner of those tourneys gets an automatic move up or something?

I have mixed feelings on this. Maybe if there was a way for 3/4 of the entries to always make the cut instead of a set number of 70 might work. Any more than 1/4 missing the cut could be detrimental.

I'm am conflicted on this. I like the idea of a cut because it gives me something to shoot for, but at the same time I would like for all four of my rounds to count. The past few tournaments Ive missed the cut, but would have been placed higher in the end than some who made the cut after all four rounds if my rounds would have been allowed to be counted.
For those like myself who are always going to be around the cut line, I think the strike system that has been introduced will serve as the same purpose. It will encourage me to get in the top 70 but still allow my scores to be counted for all four rounds.
