I imagine this has already been discussed and before i start my mini rant, this is not a criticism. I have done nothing but play this game since i downloaded it almost a week ago. The designers deserve massive credit for what they have produced. My question is regarding the handicapping system. Okay so i've had decent rounds (not decent compared to the majority of players on here i hasten to add) however i have had a lot of shitty rounds and i mean shitty. BUT and here comes the rant, my handicap has come down very quickly now at 1 or 2. Every time i have a shitty round which is more often than not, my handicap is not affected, in fact there was the occasion when i shot 2 rounds of 80 ish and my handicap reduced. Can somebody please link me within the forum or better still explain the system. Oh and any chance i can have a 2 iron please

Two things
1. tgc is not the official site for the game, ie: Your complants should have been made on the official forum not here.
2. You need to visit the usga site and read how the official handicap system works, hb have based the game handicapping system on that, but in short and simplictistically it is the average of your best last 10 rounds of the last 20 you have played, so your hc isn't going to get higher each time you have sh%$ round, and if your sh%$ pushes a worst round out of your best 10 you can play a round higher than your HC and have your HC go down due to the crappier round no longer counting in your HC best 10

I didn't realise that this was not a forum to ask questions about the game.. I did not wish to offend anyone.
Secondly, It was not a criticism as clearly stated. I was simply asking a question and having a little rant.

I wasn't offended so no need to apologise I was merely pointing out that queries regarding game mechanics etc are best asked on the official forum.
And I answered your question regarding the hc system and suggested you visit the hc section on the usga site for more detailed explanation, when you have a spare hour or two.......
Keep playing and have fun!

You should also note that your handicap will only be affected by scores on handicap-rated courses. These are courses which have over 300 plays.

Thanks Fusion. So far i have completed The Amateur Tour. All 26 were handicap-rated courses.
