For those of us that like a challenge and the most realistic scoring conditions:
I set up a no aids (approach and putting cam on) U.S Open competition on PC. Four grueling rounds at Chambers Bay - the way the game was meant to be played.
No green grid - so need to read the greens properly
No scout cam - No pinpoint zoom to aim. Pick your line carefully
No wind meter - Figure out the win from the environmental and ball behavior ques
Want to chip on the green - go ahead as its allowed in the rules of golf. On this course its not entirely clear what is green and what is not anyway....
Lets see if anyone can beat the real winning score... Running for 8 day.
Will set it on PS4 tonight. If someone wants to set an Xbox one please do!

So - had first two rounds in to catch up to current situation. Joined by a bunch of WGR top 100 players we are sitting mostly around the Real World cut line. World nr 2 Blueorfe is 3 or 4 under and the only one so far to come close to The Real world Jordan Spieth performance. Myself I dunked a pitch from 50 odd yards on 18 in round 2 to get to 2 over for the round and 3 over total.
The course plays beautifully with aids off and the scoring we see from some world class players goes to show both how good of a simulation this game is and how good TheCLVs rendition of Chambers bay portrays the real course. Still waiting for the no grid wizard IJS to post his bid - but it may be low....

Right, so to start I apologise, this is the first time I set one up: New U.S Open No A##s Believe it or not I got called out for profanity when I tried to publish under "aids", LMFAO, and then it reset all settings hence its now called as above. Currently sitting +1 after ten on Thursday |

So did R3 yesterday with Rod21 - winds maybe 8-10 so quite lucky - Rod had it to -4 after an eagle at 12 but dropped a couple coming in for a -2 finish. My round went the othr way - managed to claw back from +2 at the turn to a -1 finish with some late birdies. If I remember PS4 leaderboard correctly we have Blueorfe sitting at -3 then Rod at -1. Noone else under par. Hoping for a good last round to finish in the red - but played first hole yesterday andd started with an ugly double so have my work cut out for me. Good luck all! |

Would like to summarize this one but am out of town this week. If condone who played it can post up screenshots of the leaderboard per system that would be great!
