I've published a few courses, but this is the first one I want to open to TGC members and get their feedback. The idea is that it is not the longest course in the world, but has a decent amount of elevation change and is very much a placement course. Risks are rewarded, however you will want to be careful as the fairways are tight and well guarded. Please provide as much feedback as possible, the course name is in the title: White Rock TGC test.

Hi texjdt -- I played White Rock last night. I'm not a course designer myself (well, I haven't finished my first course). So you're getting feedback from a novice, but I figured, better than nothing! The more I can play and try to review for people, the better I understand what I'd like to do as well. Mostly I'm just posting observations here because I often don't know if what I'm saying is a criticism or a compliment. I liked that there were more than a few corners to get around (trees or otherwise) that meant I had to plan on shots or pay the price. There were lots of fairway bunkers that were right around the landing zone of tee shots, but on my front nine, I ended up safely short of them because of a steady 10+ wind in my face. A lot of the water was scenic but not dangerous, although I did end up going long on a green and into the water. I'm almost sure it was the par 3 that is nearly an island green. I remember reading or seeing in a tutorial video that the rough surrounding green shouldn't be too wide, and sometimes it was on many holes. Not that I minded It saved me from doing even worse than I could have. Hope this is at least better than nothing!
