This is an amazing re-creation of Chambers Bay, and it is so much fun to play the big slopes! I had a sweet 180+ yd holeout on 18.. landed it on the front of the green, rolled up the back slope and came back down right at the pin! Would love to see this on tour. If its not too late, I would have no problem if this was the site of the British Open. It's playing like the British anyways this week. Well done sir, very nice course!

I set up a no aids (approach and putting cam on) U.S Open competition on PC. Lets see if we can beat the real winning score... Running for 8 day.
Will set it on PS4 tonight. If someone wants to set an Xbox one please do!

Hats off to you course designers, you never get alot of credit...but Chambers Bay is superb.
Without these great designer's,I guess our great tour wouldn't be as good.
Thankyou.

I think ed68bogus alreaddy ahs it up on X-box. ---- Right, so to start I apologise, this is the first time I set one up: New U.S Open No A##s Believe it or not I got called out for profanity when I tried to publish under "aids", LMFAO, and then it reset all settings hence its now called as above. Currently sitting +1 after ten on Thursday ---- tgctours.proboards.com/thread/3664/open-tournament-chambers-aids-edition

Finished the no-aids tourney at +9. Day2 in 20mph winds was killer. Played my best round in round3 to +1 in ~15mph winds.
Just of note, there were 3 different putts I had which I COULD NOT get to the hole on max aiming marker + Max backswing. Goes to show that you really could get in big trouble without chipping on the greens due to the limitation how far away you can put the aiming mark. Eventually had to putt way off the to side and then back toward the hole just to advance the ball.

You were allowed to chip on the green... Not a TGCT tourney - and I knew the issue, so put it in the thread above. But I've managed 3 rounds without having any putts like that.

Not a fan of course with firm conditions but this course is well done. Also very playable in windy conditions.
It deserves a PGA event. Would even make a good course to use for the British Open.

Eventually had to putt way off the to side and then back toward the hole just to advance the ball. This is one reason i think it shouldn't be an official tour event. I had 2 holes where I could not putt up the hill to get to the back hole position in the fourth round regardless of how hard i tried. Since chipping is not allowed in tournies, the only other option is to turn around, putt off the green and flop up to the back hole position. Even with fast greens there was just no way to putt it up a couple of those hills without it ending up back at your feet.

I'm sure an exception can be thought out. Allow chipping (and only chipping) from more than 40 feet. I think there are few people that think lag chipping is easier than putting.
