Is there a failsafe way of checking for flat tee boxes? I use the fairway texture and can the grid be shown similar to that on greens to check for flatness? At present I have to use the lie of the tee boxes to indicate flatness of the ground. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Yes, you can check the lie grid when standing on a tee box made of fairway surface by pushing down L1/LB.

Thanks for the speedy response. I use keyboard & not a controller. By some research I think the key is F10? Unfortunately, it is not F10. At a loss as to the correct keystroke.

Exactly, I think it could be the Shift key on the left, but I'm not sure as it's more of a subconscious routine for me these days.

While you are within the designer, you can't see the flatness of the tee box. However, if you playtest the hole, hold down the left 'SHIFT' key and you can see whether it is flat or not.

Hmmm, when I hold the lsft shift key I get the shot shaping option displayed , not the terrain grid. Key "V" brings up in-game menu which also states that the [SHIFT] ley displays "shot shaping".
