Hi all, im pretty new at this and not sure if im posting in the right place.
Im struggling with filling empty spaces as my object meter keeps reaching 99% by the 5th/6th hole and i havent really put that much in. I've tried splining a few trees and bushes. Is there a better way to do this as i constantly see designers get great detail and seem to use a lot more objects than i am currently using.

Yeah it's the splining of trees and plants that is the issue. Splining objects takes a massive amount of meter. Individually planting takes much much less.
I find the best way to fill an area without using the splines is to plant a "tree farm" somewhere on your plot which is just a generic area of whatever trees or bushes you use as the base for your vegetated areas. Then you can copy and paste this planting down wherever on the plot you need that kind of planting. This only works for assets placed on the ground as opposed to half buried.
Then when that base is placed you can touch it up to suit the hole, move things around, add buried trees and bushes and any grasses that you need to plant etc.

Fargo, i appreciate the feedback thank you! I will try that today and see how i get on. Does the copy and paste use less memory?

Fargo, i appreciate the feedback thank you! I will try that today and see how i get on. Does the copy and paste use less memory? Yes, much much fewer objects than spline planting (even though the amount of actual trees that you can see might be the same). FYI "objects" is different to "memory". Memory is the amount of individual unique objects that are on the course, and objects is the total number of objects planted. So if you plant one ash tree, one pine tree, one bush, one piece of grass of grass and one house, your memory neter will increase for 5 different assets placed, but the object meter will hardly budge because you've only placed 5 individual objects. But if you plant a thousand of the same pine trees then your memory will only increase by one new asset, but obviously the "objects" meter will go up by a lot. But yeah, single individual planting is by far the most meter efficient. Copying and pasting is still individual planting.
