Sorry for the late start on this one. I've been cramming on trying to finish Chambers Bay and it's totally consumed all of my free time. I'll be relieved to be done with this thing either this weekend or early next week.

Also, there has been plenty of discussion on this course already, so I figured we didn't need to hash everything out again!

What I would like to do here, however, is request that people experiencing lag post below, including which system they are playing on. In the next few weeks, I'd like to put together a team of testers who are a constant presence here and regularly contribute, who I can lean on for course testing. As I've stated in other threads, I'm always on the lookout for lag, but between both my PC and my PS4 I seem to have a better experience than others do. This will hopefully help weed out courses that cause more widespread issues.

And again, I sincerely apologize to everyone for the mix up with the lighter and darker versions. Everything came together quickly, so I should have made an additional effort to ensure the tournament creators were on the same page.

No poll this week, things are pretty set for July and the announcement shouldn't be too far off. The introduction of the Challenge Circuit will change the order of things a bit, so stay tuned on that front after the US Open.

Comments: A little dark for me. I could handle the course itself but the greens was where I had trouble. I missed several short putts that kept me from having a better week, were laggy and the lines were a little jaggy at times. A few putts of around four feet just blew by the hole around 10-15 feet. Missed 2 two footers that seemed to glide over the hole and rest a few inches past. Never seen that before. This could be a PS4 issue.

Will I play the course again? Probably not. It did have a great 18th hole. 3 bogeys the first 3 days on that hole.

The course itself was an enjoyable layout.

Loved the course. Just finished my 4th round earlier and welcomed the rural theme, my favourite theme, that nobody seems to create courses for. We need more courses like this people, forget countryside as there are too many of those :-)

The course was deceptively tough, made harder by the winds as if you got above the hole it made putts quick but if you could get below the hole you'd shoot low scores.

Fav Hole: 18th

I didn't experience any lag (PS4) or if I did I didn't notice it. Seems it could be a ghost ball bug slowing things down? (I played live turn enabled with gavlaar) I loved the dark sunset mood especially standing on that 18th tee as you pray for par but understand if people didn't like that. Not much heavy rough at all which was a nice change. Top course. Doubt I'll be saying that next week though, not a fan of Bunyip, although I understand many like it so it should make for a good choice.

Good course, slightly dark but no real problems. I did notice lag on most tee shots. I've played other rounds since and they have been better. I've only noticed lag on this course and Pinehurst. I'm playing on the PS4. I had ghosts on at the start but removed them before playing.

Enjoyed my practice rounds on this course. I preferred the lighter version. I experienced a lot of lag on the PS4 but I guess that was because of ghost balls. The wind update seems to have added a bit of realism to the scores so far. Sorry for all the complaining this week theclv24.

Really like the course actually, has a 'proper' feel to it, was a little dark admittedly... but gave me the feel that I was out in the first groupings (which if I'd ever make it, I would be!) so that was ok really. As for the laggy/slow complaints - on certain holes yeah, but nothing too major to complain about. I'd say about 5 or 6 shots were affected, but didn't really cost me anything I wouldn't have screwed up myself anyway

Not a fan of this course for two reasons - too dark for my old eyes, and the greens really left me frustrated. This was exacerbated by the awful lag during my tournament rounds. Putting was almost impossible with the graphics jerking worse than an epileptic in a strobe lighting conference.
I've just read the temp fix for lag, but too late for my rounds this week. A fall down the rankings is inevitable for me this week.

I too experienced lag on many holes, which cost me a handful of strokes. I had ghosts enabled the entire time... sounds like that's where the PS4 lag came from.

Overall, I loved the course, the lighting, and how the winds were mostly equal for everyone throughout the tourney. I'm tied for 14th after 2 rounds... which is the best position I've been in after 2 rounds since I joined TGC Tours. However, I truly believe I could be near the top of the leaderboard without the lag.

Also, the greens were a bit tricky to read for me, but it wasn't due to the lighting. There were many subtle breaks that didn't register on the putting grids... which I think made the course play similar to real life green reading. It was frustrating to miss those 10 footers; but again, I think that adds character to the course. Trying to read those subtle breaks really makes you stay focused and grind on every shot, even on the putts that are normally automatic. As for the lag, I guess you could say, even that added to the gameplay. One could say, it's similar to what the pros deal with when a photographer gets an itchy trigger finger, or when someone yells "Ba Ba Booey" during their swing/putting stroke on a crucial shot haha.
