Hi, I'm new here so excuse me if I sound like a noob. I just went down a bit of a rabbit hole with using lidar data to create course for TGC designer and then port over to PGA Tour 2k23. I want to create Kinghorn GC in Fife but can't find any lidar data for Scotland on Defra. The link I'm using is environment.data.gov.uk/survey. Can anyone help me out? Am I using the wrong link to find lidar data? Thanks Rory

You should find it if you use Pharse 5 data,Pharse 5 is newer data than some of the others. Just took a very quick look at the data for you,the course osm is there in greens and tees maybe madfranky or is roommate did it but it's all there for you to design.I usually take a quick look at the course then decide how much of the outskirts to add when masking the plot, but if your stuck ill email you the course file below. It's a very small course file at the moment so its best when designing lidar depending of course the speed of your computer.Hole 18 seems a very intresting tee shot uphill.

Nope, wasn't me or Steve. Looks like the splining was done 3 years ago . I'd take the time to do the splining of the fairways at least (unless you know the course very well) as it will save you a load of time in the designer. I noticed the current splining is offset to the Bing imagery so if you plan to use Bing to do the fairways you'll need to adjust the offset in the Background Settings tab on OSM before you start splining. Good luck!

Only think of you for Scotland courses, it must be because ill used to design before Lidar and OSM,i always rip up the greens and tees and fairways and use them as a guide in the designer, might be a reason also why it takes me so long to design a course. It's a shame the course is really only par 3 and 4s because the time it would take me to design it probably not worth the effort in the end.
