Just a few shots of a project I've been messing with. Restoring bunkers and expanding greens to (original)? specs. Almost no shaping, just filling in areas where it looks like bunkers had been. Green dimensions have been adjusted to fill out the pads better.
This is a process of about 50% clear stuff that should be there but isn't 40% guesswork based on documentation, and a few changes that I am almost sure aren't original, but fit and improve the course. Mainly stuff on hole 3 and 17.
It is also hard to get the very washed/scrappy look that the bunkers originally had. I think these provide a similar test and look closer to Mackenzie's work in the late 20s and 30s
