The donation target has been reached because people want another season, of largely the same structure and settings. Various people have their opinions about that they would want moving forwards but the key is to have broad appeal, to as many people as possible. Didn't TST move to Legend swing a while back (something I voted for at the time), but it just didn't appeal to as many people, so switched back. Overall, I think TGC do a pretty impressive job at catering for everyone, taking into account the massive range of players and abilities that they are working with. That's my opinion anyway and I'm sure other people will have theirs. Looking forward to the new season (and hopefully some news about a new game at some point....) Cheers all. Think the donation was always gonna be made there's always a few peeps out there with a few quid and this game the tours is there livihood . Wasn't really referring to TST but mainly the pro tours having a wee change, not necessarily with swing difficulty but a little something different to think about perhaps a little guess work and book management by taking off the scout cam or aim marker or something and yes they do , the admin do an incredible job by keeping the majority happy which is what its all about at the end of the day .

I won't reply to all of your points, but going to three tiers? Might as well close up shop, IMO. CC-A to CC-L isn't perfect, but it does give most players a chance at tangible progress, to win tournaments and compete against players mostly at their level. That would be taken away from what, hundreds of players in your scenario? I'd be scared to see what donations would look like comparatively. How do you figure when the top players of each category are so comparable in scores? There's no way the top players from CC-E should be shooting above the cut line in CC-B while playing the same course and conditions. This makes it difficult for any sort of reference to how good you actually are if you have over 10 field groups that consist of players who can shoot similar scores week after week.

The top scores aren't necessarily as important as where the promotion/demotion marks land, IMO. There's a big difference weekly down the line of those divisions.
I don't remember winning many tournaments straight up while climbing that ladder, but steadily grabbed enough promos to get to CC-A, then eventually Kinetic.
That journey was the best part of my time in TGC. And I'm sure it probably is for many others.
