Hi all, I'm playing pga tour again after not playing a while after being platinum in 2k21, and I'm already getting sort of back into the swing of things and I'm about -20 through my first two qualifying rounds. However, I have a question/annoyance with putting without meter. In the last game I would practice long putts until I would see the grey power level and I would know approximately the power level to hit a long putt. Now, there's no more red power level and I cannot be asked to continually hit practice putts until I hit the white power level, especially on master. What do other mouse players do to gauge the power level for long putts? Tbh it's extremely frustrating, especially because I know console players have that vibration feature that basically tells them the correct power. Kinda put off from TGC after finding this out

Kinda put off from TGC after finding this out Dunno, if I had to guess, a majority of players on console or using a controller have vibration turned off. Especially the high end players. I turned it off myself a few months back, and it hasn't been too difficult to judge simply based on the backswing on the putt. I still struggle at times on the longer ones. I'm assuming this would be the same on mouse and keyboard?

I've struggled with this too, but have found playing a few practice rounds without meter is helping to get the feel for putts and chips. Take practice swings/putts and look at the colour of the power % on the practice swing. White text = perfect, light grey = not too bad, dark grey = disaster! With hindsight, it creates a new level to the game and a lot more like a real round. Putting is now far more realistic. Knowing you've got a difficult downhill putt also makes you think much more on where to hit approaches on the green and which pins to take on.
