Catahoula Hunt Club is my entry for the 2024 National Treasure design contest. I chose Pete Dye as my architect and drew inspiration from a wide variety of his work throughout the years. Enjoy! Please use blue tees for judging. Black tees are recommended for tournament play. Hole 2: Hole 9: Hole 11: Hole 14: Hole 17: Yes, I have a Catahoula. Yes, the course is named for her:

*So* good. When I saw the NT contest I was really hoping someone did a really good Dye and this was everything I expected and better. Planting, lighting and bunkering was phenomenal, great work. And a 300 yd par 3 into the default wind to boot, perfection a la French Lick đź‘Ś

Hey patlouvar, well, you've done it again. The small retaining around the mulch was a master stroke and looked great. Lighting was perfect and a lovely closing stretch. I could sit for days at the back of the 13th green looking out over that lake (the cover art for the play through)

Hey Pat, Loved the lighting and Tennessee swamp vibe the course gave me. Except for my ace on the third hole, played pretty ordinary. Well done. All the best for the NT comp. Cheers

Liked it so much I put it up as a 2 rd major in my society. Really liked the lush grass look. And the bunkering looks an awful lot like Dye would have done.
Good luck going forward in the contest.
