that's the point about what is wrong with the game why the need to buy another controller just to get better at it Maybe there is a point that the controller is not up to the task. Xbox controllers are just not very good for certain game as the polling rate is poor and there is latency is much worse than other controllers. If you like golf games, getting a controller that works well with the game is a minor purchase. I bought a very bad game Forza Motorsport that I got suckered into plunking down $800 for a seat and wheel combo. That's a big purchase compared to $60 - $80. Now I play a 7 year old race game that works great with a wheel. If you think 2K23 is so bad go to HB/2k forums and voice your opinion there. Also, you can turn off the tempo in game. And I would bet there a lots of societies that have it turned off. |

Let's be honest here, it's certainly not a great game but it is ok-ish for what it is. TBH there aren't much more than a handful of games that are better than OK. GTA Red Dead and a few more. Mediocre is the order of the day. |

You may be right but i think HB/2k also to blame in a way because i feel the game was not tested to play without the meter on Xbox. Also Seamount did a very good video showing how the input lag was different from 2k21 to 2k23 very slight delay when you move the joystick on all systems.
Still the only game i play only because of the great content which is provided from the community.

Sorry but I simply don't see that input delay on PC though to be honest the game is running at about 130 fps for me, higher framerate less latency. There is a slight input delay on my Series X tbh not bad with a Razer but it is pretty bad with a Microsoft controller, really noticeably bad, honestly that controller sucks in this game. This could also be a dead zone spot problem on controllers you know, I set my Razer Wolverine to no deadzone and the backswing is instantaneous, you can adjust deadzone with the Wolverine Chroma. I also find the Dual Sense to be super responsive. All said and done the input lag you talk about is certainly not universal then to everyone and it will be much much worse if you play the game at 30hz/30fps cap such as older consoles do and if you choose quality mode on current gen consoles. Talking about input lag EA's game felt like I was streaming the game with awful internet, kind of like a half second delay absolutely awful swing input in that game. I don't care what Seamount says this is a real time swing and I am really sensitive to input latency. I remember when the game came out someone said this same thing about the putting and I remember replying the putter head moves back as soon as I pull back the stick so no problems here. |

Just checked again because hearing a streamer talk about latency in the game on PC was making me think I was going mad not noticing it, absolute total rubbish it works totally fine on my PC on my Wolverine and Dualsense and Dualshock and It works absolutely fine on my Deathadder gaming mouse. Believe me if the game has latency I would be saying that it has. I am someone who just cannot play games streamed as it is very noticible to me. One thing I have learned today just don't take in everything these streamers say and think it's gospel.
Also try changing to a higher camera angle as lower camera angles it is hard to see the initial start of the swing.

Mediocre is the order of the day. Dead Space remake was better than ok it was great. One of the few games I was gutted when it finished. Baldurs Gate 3 is just fantastic also, goes down as a classic and one of the best AAA modern releases. Plenty of really great games out there. But this is all subjective as the popular games like Call of Duty and Fortnite I think are a pile of crap. I really recommend Cocoon, an indie game that is not only original but the art design is fantastic. A visual treat with some really original ideas. Believe me there are 100s of fantastic games out there if you take the time to look for them. Blanket statements that all games are mediocre just don't cut it, believe me there are a lot of games out there that are much better than Red Dead. |

It’s still a bit rough at the moment but the potential is there to see if it can knock EA Sports of the top. It doesn’t hold your hand like EA does and I don’t see any levels. The second Beta is ongoing this weekend. |

I think after a couple of years playing anything daily / weekly the fun will start to wane. No matter how much you enjoy it initially. I kind of had the opposite this time where I really didn’t like this on release because of some gripes with the game itself and didn’t play it for a long time but changing up the settings a little and playing almost exclusively that way has really helped me find the fun in it.
There are still some things I’d expect to see improvement on (mostly technical, I still think it’s a REALLY poor game / console port technically) but here I am again with 450 hours spent on another of their games so I can’t say I haven’t enjoyed it despite all that.

Will give the beta of this game as it is interesting to see how it plays. |
